Maria Giuseppina DE LUCA Curriculum

Maria Giuseppina De Luca is Professor of Aesthetic Studies at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy in the University of Salerno. She is member of the PhD Committee of “Aesthetics and Theory of Arts” at the University of Palermo and is in charge of its associated seat in the University of Salerno.

She is in the Scientific Committee of Rivista di Estetica and Estetica  and co-director with M. Mazzocut Mis and E. Tavani of the seriesDarsena for the publishing house Guerini e Associati .

She was in the Scientific Committee of the journal Trame and was member of the southern editorial office of the journal Filosofia e teologia, where she minds the section Aesthetics and Theology.

She was co-director of the series Darsena for the publishing house Guerini e Associati and co-director of the series Trame del pensiero for the Publishing House Pendragon.

Since 1987 she is coordinator of research projects related to the share of the budget ex-60%. She was in charge of the Local Unit of the PRIN2005, research dedicated to Languages ​​and Theories of the Image, and of the local search PRIN 2009 Urban space, artistic practices, new aesthetic standards.

She promoted and participated to national and international conferences and seminars on topics of her research and on issues about the discussion on Aesthetics.

She was in charge of the Aesthetic Department of the "Fondazione Filiberto Menna. Study Centre of Contemporary Art" (Salerno) and she iscurrently a member of its Scientific Committee, representing the University of Salerno. She directed, in collaboration with C. Cantillo and S.Zuliani, Quaderni della Fondazione Menna.

She taught Languages ​​and Theories of Image at the International School of Management of Culture at the  Festival Foundation of Ravello.

She is actually Director of the Department for Science of Cultural Patrimony and Director of the Laboratory “Philosophy and Languages of Image” in the University of Salerno.
