Antonia LEZZA Curriculum

She is Professor of Italian Literature and Italian Theater Literature at University of Salerno and she is in charge of Theater History Course at University of Naples “Suor Orsola Benincasa”. She is member of Board of the PhD in "Italian Studies” and “The literature between historical and geographical areas and disciplinary crossfire” at University of Salerno, as well as in " Italian Studies" at University of Naples "L'Orientale". She is involved in research study, focus of wide national interest, called AMAtI (“Archivio Multimediale degli Attori Italiani”), whose the scientific Director is Siro Ferrone. She was Professor at “Goldoni and New Theatre” International Campus (promoted by "Ca' Foscari" University of Venice), which took place in July 2007; she presented a research titled “Scrivere e riscrivere il teatro di Goldoni”. Over the last years she has deepened Italian Theater Literature, producing a series of essays about Giacomo Casanova, Carlo Goldoni, Cottrau, Collodi, Salvatore Di Giacomo, Roberto Bracco, Raffaele Viviani, Toto, Eduardo and Peppino De Filippo, Vincenzo Pirrotta. She has also regarded into Theatre of both Emigration and Risorgimento, and has also edited some items related to South Italy Theatre in the Encyclopedia of Italian Literary Studies. She has conceived and now edits "Neapolitan Theatre" website (, the web archive of the authors of Neapolitan drama, offering bio-bibliographic content, reviews, audiovisual online works (edited and inedited) from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the paper "Misure Critiche."
