PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS OF BIOPHARMACEUTICS AND PHARMACOKINETICS APPLIED TO PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORMS; TO UNDERSTAND THE MECHANISMS OF DRUG DIFFUSION AND DISSOLUTION OF THE DRUGS AND TECHNOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL AND PHISICAL METHODS TO CONTROL LADME PLANTS STUDENTS MUST HAVE ACQUIRED BASICS IN UNIT OPERATIONS, MAIN APPARATUSES AND PLANTS EXERCISE. STUDENTS MUST HAVE ACQUIRED SKILL TO APPLY THE BASICS OF UNIT OPERATIONS TO THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS OF CHEMICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL PLANTS. STUDENTS MUST HAVE ACQUIRED A CRITICAL APPROACH TO INDIVIDUATE AND TO EVALUATE THE MAIN PHENOMENA AND THE MAIN UNIT OPERATIONS INVOLVED IN A PRODUCTION ACTIVITY. STUDENTS MUST KNOW HOW TO DISCUSS A TOPIC IN FIELD OF THE UNIT OPERATIONS. ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY THE PASSING OF AN EXAM, CONSISTENT FOR THE FIRST MODULE IN AN ORAL TEST NOT EXCEEDING 30 MINUTES ON SUBJECTS RELATED TO THE DRUG RELEASE MECHANISMS FROM DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS, THE INFLUENCE OF THE DRUG PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES ON ITS ABSORPTION, MODIFICATION OF THE DRUG PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECT BY MODIFYING FORMULATION PROPERTIES, AND FOR THE SECOND MODULE IN AN ORAL TEST NOT EXCEEDING 30 MINUTES ON THE SUBJECTS OF TRANPORT PHENOMENA, UNIT OPERATIONS, MAIN APPARATUSES IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY.
