Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: UNDERSTANDING OF THE LANGUAGE OF TECHNICAL DRAWING AND TECHNICAL DESIGN STANDARDS. METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND ASSEMBLY OF MECHANICAL ELEMENTS. KNOWLEDGE ON MECHANICS AND MECHANICAL TRANSMISSIONS LINKS. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING APPLIED - ENGINEERING ANALYSIS. KNOWING HOW TO READ A TECHNICAL DRAWING, INTERPRET AND TRANSMIT ALL PROJECT INFORMATION. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING APPLIED - ENGINEERING DESIGN.
KNOWING HOW TO CALCULATE THE TOLERANCES OF A PAIR. KNOWING HOW TO DETERMINE THE REPRESENTATION AND THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO MAKE THE DESIGN OF PARTS, ASSEMBLIES AND SYSTEMS IN THE CONTEXT REQUIRED. MAKING JUDGMENTS - ENGINEERING PRACTICE. TO REPRESENT UNDER EITHER MANUALLY OR WITH A TECHNICAL DRAWING PROCESSOR. KNOWING HOW TO PERFORM MICROMETRIC MEASUREMENTS. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS - COMMUNICATION SKILLS. KNOWING HOW TO ORALLY PRESENT THE ARGUMENTS RELATED TO THE MECHANICAL DESIGN. USE THE HAND SKETCH AS A SUPPLEMENTARY TOOL FOR COMMUNICATION.
TRANSVERSAL SKILLS - ABILITY TO LEARN. KNOWING HOW TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE TO DIFFERENT CONTEXTS FROM THOSE PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS IN FRONT LESSONS (30 H), CLASSROOM EXERCISES (28 H) AND ACTIVITIES IN LAB (2 H) FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF 60 HOURS WHICH ARE WORTH 6 CREDITS. ALL THE EXERCISES IN THE LIVING ARE ASSIGNED TO BE DRAWNED, NUMERICALS AND GRAPHICS, TO BE DEVELOPED DURING ALL THE WORKING OF THE COURSE. IN THE PURPOSE OF GRAPHIC PROCESSING, THE STAFF WORKS WITH THE AUTOCAD SOFTWARE IN 2D ENVIRONMENT. EVEN FOR THE WORKING OF A PRACTICAL LEARNING.
ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE PREFERRED OBJECTIVES WILL HAVE A MANUAL GRAPHIC TEST, A GRAPHIC TEST TO THE CALCULATOR, NUMERICAL EXERCISE AND ORAL EXAMINATION. SUFFICIENT CRITERIA REQUIRES THE EXCEEDING OF WRITTEN TESTS, EVEN WITH MINIMUM VOTING, AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES OF ORTHOGRAPHIC AND ASSEMBLY PROJECTS AND THE PRINCIPALS RULES OF DESIGN. FOR EXCELLENCE IS NECESSARY THE CORRECT EXPOSURE OF THEORY SUBJECTS, BUT WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PARTICULAR GRAPHIC CONSTRUCTIONS.
