THE COURSE AIMS AT THE ACQUISITIONS OF THE BASIC AS WELL AS ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE FOR THE DESIGN SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURES ENDOWED WITH OF SITUATION AWARENESS: STARTING FROM AN INTRODUCTION OF THE PRINCIPAL PHASES AND METHODOLOGIES THAT GUIDE THE DESIGN OF A SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEM, THE COURSE ILLUSTRATE HOW THE METHODOLOGIES AND THE TECHNOLOGIES HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY USED FOR MOST OF CRITICAL MISSION SYSTEMS OVER AN INTERNATIONAL SCENARIO. |

A THIRD OF THE COURSE HOURS WILL BE DEVOTED TO SEMINARIES ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATIONS WITH IMPORTANT COMPANIES OPERATING IN THE FIELD OF SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEMS, FOR AN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDIES THAT WILL LINK THE COURSE CONTENTS TO THE ACTUAL INDUSTRIAL NEEDS. FURTHERMORE, THE LABORATORY EXERCITATIONS WILL USE TOOLS ACTUALLY IN USE IN INDUSTRIAL CONTEXTS |

THE EVALUATION OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GOALS WILL BE PERFORMED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROJECT WORK AND AN ORAL INTERVIEW. THE EVALUATION WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS: •KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEMS DESIGN CONCEPTS PRESENTED IN THE COURSE, AND OF THE MAJOR ISSUES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF APPLICATIONS; •ABILITY TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEMS; •ABILITY TO WORK IN A TEAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEMS; •ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE REQUIREMENTS, ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN CHOICES AND IMPLEMENTATION SOLUTIONS FOR SITUATION AWARENESS SYSTEMS TO USE IN DIFFERENT TARGET DOMAINS; |
