Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS MORE COMMONLY USED IN THE MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE .
IN ADDITION, THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE CAPACITY TO INTERPRET ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN TERMS OF MODELS, AND TO APPLY THEM TO THE ANALYSIS OF CULTURAL POLICIES.
Prerequisites
KNOWLEDGE OF POLICIES AND MANAGEMENT DYNAMICS OF CULTURAL PROPERTY IN ITALY AND IN THE EUROPEAN CONTEXT.
Contents
THE FIRST PART OF THE COURSE IS DEDICATED TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL HERITAGE , CONSIDERED ABOVE ALL AS PUBLIC GOODS AND/OR AS CAUSES OF EXTERNALITIES. THEN WE PRESENT BASIC CONCEPTS OF MICROECONOMICS, LIKE THOSE OF PREFERENCES, PRIVATE AND PUBLIC GOODS. AN INTRODUCTION TO THE THEORY OF MARKET FORMS FOLLOWS, TO EXPLAIN THE BENEFITS OF THE EXCHANGE IN A DECENTRALISED ECONOM, THE DISTORTIONS FROM MONOPOLY AND THE ISSUES OF REGULATION AND MANAGERIAL CAPABILTY.
