THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS MORE COMMONLY USED IN THE MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE . IN ADDITION, THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE CAPACITY TO INTERPRET ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN TERMS OF MODELS, AND TO APPLY THEM TO THE ANALYSIS OF CULTURAL POLICIES. |

THE FIRST PART OF THE COURSE IS DEDICATED TO PECULIARITIES THAT CHARACTERIZE ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL GOODS CONSIDERED SUCH AS PUBLIC GOODS AND / OR AS EXTERNAL CAUSES. HOWEVER, THE MICRO-ECONOMIC CONCEPTS ARE INTRODUCED, SUCH AS PRECISE, GOOD PRIVATE AND GOOD PUBLIC. AN INTRODUCTION TO THE THEORY OF THE FORMS OF THE MARKET, TO EXPLAIN THE BENEFITS OF EXCHANGE IN A DECENTRALISED ECONOMY, THE DISTORTIONS OF MONOPOLY AND THE PROBLEMS OF REGULATION AND MANAGEMENT CAPACITY. |

LEARNING IS ASSESSED BY WRITTEN AND ORAL TESTS. AT THE TIME OF THE WRITTEN TEST IS POSSIBLE TO DELIVER A INDIVIDUAL REPORT (ASSIGNMENT), ON A TOPIC AGREED WITH THE PROFESSOR. THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN TEST IS 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES; WHILE THE ORAL TEST LASTS NO MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. |
