** KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL GAIN A SET OF BASIC ANALYTICAL TOOLS TO INTERPRET THE ECONOMY FROM THE STANDPOINT OF AGGREGATE PROCESSES: ECONOMIC FLUCTUATIONS, LONG-TERM ECONOMIC GROWTH AND FUNCTIONAL INCOME INEQUALITY. ** APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THROUGH FRONTAL TEACHING AND CLASSES STUDENTS WILL BE GRADUALLY BROUGHT TO THE CAPABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING AGGREGATE ECONOMIC PHENOMENA. THROUGH INTERACTION WITH THE TEACHER AND CLASSES, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ENACT A GRADUAL AND CONSTANT CONTROL ON THEIR LEARNING CURVE. |

Verification of learning | |

LEARNING IS ASSESSED THROUGH A WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST. MARKING FOLLOWS THE TRADITIONAL ITALIAN SCALE. THE WRITTEN TEST IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING REACHED BY THE STUDENT ON THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM, AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. THE TEST IS STRUCTURED INTO TWO PARTS. THE FIRST PART CONSISTS IN AN EXERCISE, THE MAXIMUM OVERALL SCORE OF WHICH IS EQUAL TO THIRTEEN POINTS. THE SECOND PART IS STRUCTURED INTO FIVE OPEN-RESPONSE QUESTIONS, THE MAXIMUM OVERALL SCORE OF WHICH IS EQUAL TO FIFTEEN POINTS. THE EXERCISE AND THE QUESTIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE SOLVED DURING LESSON/EXERCISE HOURS, AND TO THE EXERCISES AND SIMULATIONS OF WRITTEN TEST AVAILABLE ON THE TEACHER'S WEB PAGE. DURING THE WRITTEN TEST ONE CANNOT CONSULT TEXTS, USE PCS AND MOBILE PHONES; ONLY USE OF THE CALCULATOR IS ALLOWED. AT THE TIME OF THE WRITTEN TEST IT IS MANDATORY TO DELIVER AN INDIVIDUAL REPORT (ESSAY), CHOOSING A TOPIC FROM THOSE INDICATED ON THE TEACHER'S WEB PAGE. THE INDIVIDUAL REPORT IS DISCUSSED DURING THE ORAL EXAM, WHICH DETERMINES THE FINAL SCORE OF THE EXAM. THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN TEST IS ONE HOUR, WHILE THE ORAL TEST HAS A DURATION NOT EXCEEDING TWENTY MINUTES. |
