Objectives | |

Knowledge and Understanding The students will learn the principles and the main caracteristics of modern distributed computing technology including computer clusters, virtualization, service-oriented architecture, massively parallel processors, peer-to-peer systems, cloud computing, social networks, and the Internet of Things. Major emphases of the course lie in exploiting the ubiquity, agility, efficiency, scalability, availability, and programmability of parallel, distributed, and cloud computing systems. Applying Knowledge and Understanding The student will acquire the following application capabilities: - design a distributed system - experiment the connection and exchange of information, in the form of several communication systems, between devices of different types, including mobile phones, pdas, pcs, servers |
