Objectives
THIS COURSE IS MAILNY DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO THE FIELD OF POLITICAL SCIENCE. IT ADDRESSES THEORETICAL CONCEPTS SUCH AS PARTY, ELECTIONS AND ELECTORAL SYSTEMS, REPRESENTATION, DEMOCRACY, DICTATORSHIP, PUBLIC OPINION, PARTICIPATION, PARLIAMENT, GOVERNMENT, AND POLLING.

THE COURSE IS DESIGNED MAINLY ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES WHICH HAVE CHARACTERIZED THE DEVELOPMENTS OF THIS RESEARCH FIELD. IT ADDRESSES CONCEPTS AND POLITICAL PROCESSES RELATED TO THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACIES GENERATED BY THE DIFFUSION OF MEDIA LOGIC: PRESIDENTIALIZATION PROCESSES, PUBLIC OPINION, ELECTIONS AND ELECTORAL SYSTEMS,PARTICIPATION, PARTY AND PARTY SYSTEMS.
