ELEMENTS OF TOXICOLOGY AND HYGIENE IN THE WORKPLACE; DISPERSION MODELS OF TOXIC SUBSTANCES FOR INSTANTANEOUS AND CONTINUOUS RELEASES. KNOWLEDGE OF FIRES AND EXPLOSIONS: CONDITIONS OF ONSET AND ESTIMATION OF THE ENERGY RELEASED AND EFFECTS; CRITERIA FOR THE DESIGN AND SIZING OF SAFETY SYSTEMS TO PREVENT FIRES AND EXPLOSIONS AND MITIGATE THEIR EFFECTS. EXAMPLES OF SIGNIFICANT DISASTERS IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY (3 HOURS OF LESSONS). TOXICOLOGY AND INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE (7 HOURS OF LESSONS). EXPLOSIONS. (30 HOURS OF LESSON): ESTIMATED FLASH POINT T. FLAMMABILITY LIMITS AND THEIR ESTIMATE. MINIMUM OXYGEN CONCENTRATION. FLAMMABILITY DIAGRAMS. ENERGY OF IGNITION. CONFINED EXPLOSIONS. DEFLAGRATIONS AND DETONATIONS.
