KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE METHODOLOGY FOR THE DESIGN, ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT RELATED TO THE PROCESS INTENSIFICATION FOR ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, CONSIDERING ALSO THE MAIN SAFETY ASPECT FOR ENGINEERING PROCESSES. APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - ENGINEERING ANALYSIS: TO KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY THE CRITERIA FOR THE INTENSIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES. ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR PROCESS INTENSIFICATION TO BE APPLIED IN THE INDUSTRIAL FIELD, USING METHODS AND TOOLS TO OPTIMIZE AND DESIGN A PROCESS FROM AN ENERGY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY POINT OF VIEW. APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - ENGINEERING DESIGN: TO KNOW HOW TO DESIGN AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS BASED ON THE CRITERIA OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, SAFETY AND ENERGY SAVING. MAKING JUDGMENTS: THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY METHODOLOGIES FOR THE INTENSIFICATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES, PROPOSING SMART SOLUTIONS FOR NEW AND EXISTING PROCESSES. THE STUDENT WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO EVALUATE OPTIONS TO IMPROVE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS FROM AN ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENERGY POINT OF VIEW. HE/SHE WILL HAVE TO DEVELOP AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE POSSIBILITIES OF SUCCESS OF A CERTAIN PROCESS FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES AND HE/SHE BE ABLE TO EVALUATE SAFETY OF OPERATIONS IN INDUSTRIAL PLANTS AND PROCESSES. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS - ABILITY TO LEARN: TO KNOW HOW TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED TO CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE, AND TO DEEPEN THE TOPICS COVERED BY USING ALSO DIDACTIC MATERIAL DIFFERENT FROM THAT PROPOSED. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS - INVESTIGATION SKILLS: ABILITY TO ACQUIRE NEW CONCEPTS IN ORDER TO INTERFACE PROFITABLY WITH INDUSTRIAL OPERATING ENVIRONMENTS.
