Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH AN IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE LEGAL INSTITUTIONS OF PRIVATE LAW, WHICH WILL BE ANALYZED IN CONSTANT AND CLOSE CORRELATION WITH THE MULTIPLE LEGAL AND REGULATORY PHENOMENA PRODUCED BY NEW TECHNOLOGIES. THIS IN ORDER TO ACQUIRE SOLID SKILLS, NECESSARY TO IDENTIFY THE MOST VARIED LEGAL QUESTIONS POSED BY TECHNOLOGICAL EVOLUTION, AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO DEVELOP, WITH ADEQUATE MASTERY OF METHOD, THE MOST APPROPRIATE REGULATORY SOLUTION TO THE CONCRETE PROBLEM. THIS OBJECTIVE WILL ALSO BE PURSUED THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF PRATICAL CASES AND JUDGMENTS

INTRODUCTORY NOTIONS AND FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES. LEGAL ORDER AND DIGITAL SOCIETY: THE SOURCES. SUBJECTS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES: PERSONAL RIGHTS AND NETWORK DATA PROTECTION. TYPES OF DATA AND DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES. THE REG. EU 679/2016 (GDPR). ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE RDP (DATA PROTECTION MANAGER). THE PRIVACY GUARANTOR. THE RIGHT OF ACCESS TO THE CONTENT OF THE NETWORK: THE LEGAL PHENOMENON OF SOCIAL NETWORKS (10 HOURS OF LESSON).

THE CONTRACT AND ITS ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: FROM THE SUBJECT TO "DIGITAL CONTENT". PROCEDURES FOR TRAINING CODES AND CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT. ELECTRONIC NEGOTIATION. THE ALGORITHMIC BARGAINING. THE FORM OF THE CONTRACT. THE IT DOCUMENT; THE DIGITAL SIGNATURE. CONSUMER AND CYBER-CONSUMER CONTRACTS. SOME CONTRACTUAL FIGURES (15 HOURS OF LESSON).
CIVIL LIABILITY. LIABILITY OF THE INTERNET PROVIDER. LIABILITY FOR ILLEGAL TREATMENT OF PERSONAL DATA ON THE INTERNET. CIVIL LIABILITY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (10 HOURS OF LESSON).
PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESSORY LAW: DIGITAL IDENTITY AND DIGITAL HERITAGE (5 HOURS OF LESSON).
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE LASTS 60 HOURS (10 CFUS) AND IS DIVIDED INTO: LECTURES ABOUT ALL COURSE TOPICS; DISCUSSION OF CASE LAW; SEMINARS HELD ALSO BY LECTURERS FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES AND PRACTITIONERS.

ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION, WITH ASSESSMENT IN THIRTIETHS, ON THE CONTENTS MENTIONED IN THE LEARNING PROGRAM, AIMED AT ASCERTAINING STUDENTS’ SKILLS.
