Objectives
THE SUBJECT AIMS TO PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION OF NINETEENTH EUROPE IN A SET OF NEW INDEPENDENT STATES DUE TO SPREAD OF NATIONAL IDEOLOGIES. KNOWLEDGE IS AIMED TO GIVE TO STUDENT THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE CRITICALLY POLITICAL-INSTITUTIONAL CHANGES OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE RULING CLASSES DURING THE XIX CENTURY, WHETHER HISTORIOGRAPHY ON THE THEME. IN THE LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DEFINE AND INTERPRETING THE DIFFERENT WAYS AND DIFFERENT FORMS OF NATIONAL BUILDING STATES IN THE EUROPE OF XIX CENTURY IN RELATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM AND THE INTERNAL FRAME OF ANY OF THEM. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO FORMULATE CRITICAL JUDGMENTS ON DIPLOMATIC DYNAMICS AND POLITICS THAT CHARACTERIZE THE BIRTH OF THE STATE-NATION WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO ITALY.
THE STUDENT WILL BE STIMULATED TO ORGANIZE ORAL HIS OWN IDEAS. THE SUBJECT WILL ENABLE STUDENT TO UNDERSTAND THE ROLE OF EUROPEAN RULING CLASSES IN THE NATION STATES BUILDING.
Prerequisites
IT'S USEFUL A GOOD KNOWLWDGE OF CONTEMPORARY HISTORY. (XIX CENT.)
Teaching Methods
TEACHING PROVIDES 40 HOURS OF LESSONS. IN THE LESSONS THE ARGUMENTS ARE PRESENTED TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE HISTORIOGRAPHY REGARDING THE COMPARED PROBLEMS
Verification of learning
THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL TAKE ACROSS A FINAL ORAL TEST TO EVALUATE THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLINE AND THE ABILITY OF ARGUMENTATION RELATED TO THE STATE-BUILDING PROCESSES IN THE XIX CENTURY EUROPE. AT LEAST THREE QUESTIONS WILL BE FORMULATED TO ASSESS THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS. THE VOTE (MIN 18, MAX 30 WITH POSSIBLE LODE) IS DETERMINED BY THE LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE FOR EACH OF THE FOLLOWING DIMENSIONS OF THE ORAL EXHIBITION: MASTERY OF THE CONTENTS, APPROPRIATE OF HISTORICAL REFERENCES, CLARITY OF THE ARGUMENT, DOMAIN OF THE MAIN STORIOGRAPHICAL INTERPRETATIONS.
