Objectives
TEACHING AIMS TO PROVIDE THE MAIN KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMING EUROPE INTO A SET OF NEW INDEPENDENT STATES DUE TO THE SPREADING OF NATIONAL IDEOLOGIES BETWEEN THE EIGHT AND NINE HUNDRED CENTURIES. KNOWLEDGE IS AIMED AT GIVING THE STUDENT THE ABILITY TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE BOTH THE POLITICAL-INSTITUTIONAL CHANGES OF THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE MANAGING CETIS UP TO THE FIRST POST-WAR, AND THE HISTORIOGRAPHY ON THE THEME. IN THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH AND INTERPRET THE DIFFERENT WAYS AND DIFFERENT FORMS OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE NATIONAL STATES IN THE EIGHTEENTH-TWENTIETH CENTURY EUROPE IN RELATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM AND TO THE INTERIOR OF EACH.
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO FORMULATE CRITICAL JUDGMENTS ON THE DIPLOMATIC AND POLITICAL DYNAMICS THAT CHARACTERIZE THE BIRTH OF THE STATE-NATION WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO ITALY. THE STUDENT WILL BE STIMULATED TO ORGANIZE YOUR ORAL IDEAS. THE TEACHING WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO DISTINGUISH AND INTERPRET THE ROLE OF THE EUROPEAN MANAGING CETI IN THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION OF NATIONAL STATES.

Teaching Methods
TEACHING PROVIDES 40 HOURS OF LESSONS. IN THE LESSONS THE ARGUMENTS ARE PRESENTED TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE HISTORIOGRAPHY REGARDING THE COMPARED PROBLEMS.
Verification of learning
THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL TAKE ACROSS A FINAL ORAL TEST TO EVALUATE THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLINE AND THE ABILITY OF ARGUMENTATION RELATED TO THE STATE-BUILDING PROCESSES IN EUROPE BETWEEN THE EIGHT AND NINE HUNDRED CENTURIES. AT LEAST THREE QUESTIONS WILL BE FORMULATED TO ASSESS THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS. THE VOTE (MIN 18, MAX 30 WITH POSSIBLE LODE) IS DETERMINED BY THE LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE FOR EACH OF THE FOLLOWING DIMENSIONS OF THE ORAL EXHIBITION: MASTERY OF THE CONTENTS, APPROPRIATE OF HISTORICAL REFERENCES, CLARITY OF THE ARGUMENT, DOMAIN OF THE MAIN STORIOGRAPHICAL INTERPRETATIONS.
