THE OBJECTIVE OF THE TEACHING IS TO UNDERSTAND THE HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT FROM THE END OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR TO THE PRESENT TIME. THE STUDENT WILL KNOW BOTH THE LINK BETWEEN THE GEOPOLITICAL CONTEXTS AND THE MODELS OF COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT FROM 1945 ONWARDS, AND THE HISTORIOGRAPHY ON THE TOPIC, ACQUIRING METHODS OF RECONSTRUCTION AND CRITICAL ANALYSIS RELATING TO THE DIFFERENT PHASES OF THE ENTIRE PERIOD CONSIDERED. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH AND INTERPRET FORMS, PRACTICES AND PARADIGMS OF COOPERATION WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE EVOLUTION OF DEVELOPMENT THEORIES AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION IN THE CONTEXT OF CHANGES IN THE WORLD POLITICAL SETUP, THAT IS FROM THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE POST-WWII AND DECOLONIZATION UNTIL TO POST-COLD WAR NEWS. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE CRITICAL JUDGMENTS ON THE MULTIPLE PROCESSES THAT HAVE FACILITATED THE EVOLUTION OF COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT, AS WELL AS ON THE INTERESTS AND APPROACHES OF THE MAIN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, STATE AND SUPRANATIONAL ACTORS, OPERATING IN THE FIELD. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT COMPARATIVE ANALYZES OF THE MAIN MODELS OF COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT THAT HISTORIOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HAVE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDY OF POLICIES IN SUPPORT OF THE COUNTRIES OF THE SOUTH OF THE WORLD. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO FIND OUT THE BIBLIOGRAPHY ON THE TOPIC AND THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS OF INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTES OR SUPRANNATIONAL BODIES AND TO START SCIENTIFIC OR PUBLIC RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, USING HISTORICAL SOURCES AND MORE LITERATURE RECENT. |
