THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO GIVE THEORETICAL AND PRATICAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SOURCES, EVOLUTION AND MANAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION PROCESSES, WITH PERSPECTIVES IN THE INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMIC FRAMEWORK, CONSIDERING THE IMPACT OF REGULATION OF NEW BUSINESS MODELS. STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO APPLY ECONOMIC METHODOLOGY TO STUDY THE IMPACT OF PUBLIC INTERVENTION ON INNOVATION PROCESSES (APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING) AND TO ASSES IN A CRITICAL WAY THE VALIDITY OF ASSUMPTIONS AND SOLUTIONS PROPOSED . STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO EFFECTIVELY ORGANIZE IDEAS BOTH IN WRITTEN AND ORAL FORM, WITH THE HELP OF PRESENTATION OF SHORT REPORTS ON SPECIFIC ISSUES DURING THE COURSE . THIS COURSE WILL ENABLE STUDENTS TO DECIDE ON RELEVANT INFORMATION TO UNDERSTAND INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIES IMPACT AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS . |

STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN TWO EXAMINATION METHODS: 1° METHOD STUDENTS ATTENDING THE COURSE CAN PASS THE EXAM THROUGH A WRITTEN TEST AND AN A PROJECT WORK. EACH OF THE TWO STAGES CAN BE PASSED WITH A MINIMUM OF 18/30. THE FINAL GRADE IS SIMPLY THE AVERAGE OF THE TWO PARTIAL RESULTS. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION, LASTING APPROXIMATELY TWO HOUR AND HALF, IS AIMED AT DETERMINING IN A CLEAR AND UNAMBIGUOUS MANNER THE STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND BOTH THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS AS TARGETED IN THE PROGRAMME. FINALLY, IT VERIFIES HOW THE STUDENTS CAN APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF 12 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, 2 OPEN QUESTIONS. THE PROJECT WORK AIMS TO VERIFY HOW STUDENTS APPLY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TO CASE STUDIES AND CONSISTS IN A WRITTEN SHORT ESSAY ON AN AGREED ISSUE AND AN ORAL PRESENTATION TO THE CLASSROOM. 2° METHOD ORAL EXAMINATION WITH AN INTERVIEW AIMED AT TESTING STUDENTS’ KNOWLEGE AND ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND ACHIEVED, AND , AT THE SAME TIME, THE EXPERTISE IN THE FIELD. |
