THE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE COURSE AIMS TO IMPROVE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE LITERARY TEXTS OF THE NINETEENTH AND TWENTIETH CENTURIES THROUGH IN-DEPTH AND DIRECT STUDY OF THE WORKS. LECTURES WILL DEVELOP THE SKILLS OF ANALYSIS, CRITICAL INTERPRETATION, UNDERSTANDING OF DIFFERENT FORMS, GENRES AND STYLES, RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN TEXTS AND COMMUNICATION, PROVIDING THE SKILLS OF TEXTUAL INVESTIGATION, BIBLIOGRAPHIC RESEARCH AND PROCESSING OF AUTONOMOUS AND ORIGINAL JUDGMENTS, AS WELL AS THE USE OF BIBLIOGRAPHIC AND IT TOOLS. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT: - WILL LEARN ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTALS AND BASIC SKILLS OF NINETEENTH / TWENTIETH-CENTURY HISTORICAL-LITERARY PRODUCTION - WILL LEARN ABOUT AUTHORS, WORKS, LITERARY TRENDS, FORMS, GENRES AND STYLES - WILL ACQUIRE BASIC KNOWLEDGE FOR CRITICAL AND METRIC TEXTUAL ANALYSIS - WILL ACQUIRE BASIC KNOWLEDGE FOR PHILOLOGICAL, HISTORICAL-LITERARY RESEARCH - WILL ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERARY TEXTS ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - CRITICALLY ANALYSE AND INTERPRET LITERARY WORKS - UNDERSTAND DIFFERENT FORMS, GENRES AND STYLES - USE BIBLIOGRAPHIC AND IT TOOLS AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - DEVELOP AUTONOMOUS AND ORIGINAL JUDGMENTS - SELECT AND USE LITERARY SOURCES - RECONSTRUCT THE HISTORICAL-CULTURAL, LITERARY AND LINGUISTIC CONTEXTS - PLACE AND DEFINE THE AUTHOR'S BACKGROUND AND DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - COMMUNICATE INFORMATION, ISSUES, THEMES IN CLEAR AND APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE AND CORRECTLY AD ACCURATELY ARTICULATE CONTENTS LEARNING ABILITY THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - ACQUIRE THE TOOLS NECESSARY FOR UNDERSTANDING AND INTERPRETING A LITERARY TEXT - DEVELOP ADDITIONAL SKILLS, IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE INDEPENDENTLY IN STUDIES AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS UPDATING |

CRITICAL SKILLS IN READING LITERARY TEXTS, SHOWING TO BE ABLE TO DEVELOP AUTONOMOUS JUDGMENTS. 3.
