Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WILL BE AIMED AT ENHANCING THE STUDENTS' TRANSVERSAL COMPETENCIES - THE SO-SAID SOFT SKILLS - WHICH ARE CONSIDERED STRATEGIC TO DEAL WITH THE CURRENT WORK ENVIRONMENT, CHALLENGED BY COMPLEXITY ISSUES AND BY THE NEED FOR A CONTINUOUS CHANGE. IN PARTICULAR, THE ATTENTION WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF LEADERSHIP-RELATED SKILLS, PROBLEM-SOLVING, NEGOTIATION, RELATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS, TEAMWORK AND TIME MANAGEMENT

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE GROUP DYNAMICS WITHIN BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS. GOING MORE INTO DETAILS, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, THE TOOLS OF HUMAN RESOURCES VALORIZATION AND EVALUATION AT BOTH THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE GROUP LEVELS, AND THE ISSUES RELATED TO WORL MOTIVATION WILL BE DEALT WITH FROM A CONCEPTUAL AND PRACTICAL PERSPECTIVE.

NO PREREQUISITES; NONETHELESS, THE BASIC SKILLS IN ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES ARE USEFUL TO HANDLE THE TOPICS DISCUSSED

Teaching Methods
AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE TRADITIONAL NORMATIVE APPROACH, WHICH FOCUSES ON THE COMMUNICATION AND THE REPLICATION OF BEST PRACTICES, THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WILL BE PERFORMED THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING, WHICH ARE CONSISTENT WITH A GROUNDED RESEARCH METHOD. IN FACT, THE STUDENTS' BEHAVIOURAL MODELS WILL BE ANALYSED AND QUESTIONED, PAVING THE WAY FOR PROCESSES OF INDIVIDUAL IMPROVEMENT AND ENHANCEMENT. A MIX OF EDUCATIONAL METHODS WILL BE USED, INCLUDING: SIMULATIONS, ROLE PLAYING, PROJECT WORK, CASE STUDY E SELF-CASES. MOREOVER, SPEECHES OF EMINENT LEADERS WHO ARE PROFICIENT IN THE TOPICS OF THIS COURSE WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GOALS OF THIS TEACHING ACTIVITY IS ASSESSED THROUGH AN EXAM, WHICH EVALUATION RANGES IN A SCALE FROM "0" TO "30". THE EXAM CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS: ON THE ONE HAND, STUDENTS WILL - EITHER INDIVIDUALLY OR IN GROUP - ARRANGE A PROJECT WORK. A MAXIMUM OF 6 MEMBERS COULD BE INCLUDED IN PROJECT WORKS REALIZED IN GROUPS. THE TEACHING STAFF WILL LEAD THE STUDENTS IN IDENTIFYING AND HANDLING THE TOPICS TO BE DEALT WITH. ALL THE PROJECTS WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE PARTICIPANTS TO THE TEACHING ACTIVITIES IN - MORE OR LESS - 20 MINUTES FOR EACH PROJECT. DURING THE DISCUSSION, THE STUDENTS WILL EMPHASIZE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR IDEA, THE METHODS ADOPTED AND THE FINDINGS COLLECTED. SLIDES AND OTHER DIGITAL TOOLS CAN BE USED TO SUPPORT THE DISCUSSION. DURING THE DISCUSSION, THE TEACHING STAFF WILL ASK FOR MORE INFORMATION IF STUDENTS ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE INSIGHTS ABOUT THE TOPIC DEALT WITH. ON THE OTHER HAND, STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN AN ORAL EXAM OF ABOUT 15 MINUTES. THE ORAL EXAM IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS OF THE STUDENTS. OVERALL, THE EXAM WILL ALLOW TO FIGURE OUT BOTH THE KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPED BY THE STUDENT AT THE END OF THE TEACHING ACTIVITIES, AND THE ABILITY TO AUTONOMOUSLY ARRANGE AND DISCUSS A PRACTICAL PROJECT.
