Giovanni DE FEO | MSc thesis proposals are available for students enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

The proposed theses focus on real industrial and environmental systems, adopting an integrated technical, environmental and economic approach, and are intended for students interested in working on real data, practical case studies and current sustainability challenges.

The thesis topics include:

• municipal solid waste management and related treatment and recycling plants;

• industrial site localization and environmental compatibility;

• performance analysis of sorting and recycling plants within a circular economy framework.

Depending on the topic, the theses may include:

• process analysis and mass balances;

• environmental assessment (e.g. LCA);

• multicriteria analysis;

• use of specialised software tools;

• analysis of real industrial data and, where possible, site visits.
