THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE SOCIOLOGY OF CULTURAL AND MEDIA PROCESSES WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON INTERNET STUDIES. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE IS TO SOCIOLOGICALLY ARGUE THE TRANSITION FROM TRADITIONAL MEDIA TO NEW MEDIA, ANALYZING THE CENTRALITY OF THE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY AND THEIR ROLE AS "DEFINERS OF REALITY" AND "SOCIO-TECHNICAL" APPARATUSES.
