Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE.
THE COURSE PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH A SOCIOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK OF READING OF THE MEDIA BY INVESTIGING (IN A THEORETICAL, HISTORICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLASSICAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA. THE OBJECTIVE IS: TO DEFINE A TRANSMEDIA READING PLAN AND TO APPROACH THE EPOCHAL TRANSITION FROM "CLASSIC" TO DIGITAL FORMS.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
STARTING FROM A CONSTANT OBSERVATION OF CONTEMPORANEITY, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE LIVING PULSE OF THE MEDIA AND THEIR CONTINUOUS HYBRIDIZATION AND REINVENTION, PAYING PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO CONSUMPTION FLOWS, FORMS OF EXPERIMENTATION, AUDIENCES, NEW SKILLS IN THE FIELD AND “BECOMING MEDIA” IN THE TIME OF CONTINUOUS CONNECTION.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE PRECISE TOOLS OF INVESTIGATION AND REFLECTION THAT CAN BE APPLIED IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE COMPLEXITY OF THE MEDIA.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT.
THE STUDENT WILL DEVELOP GREATER SENSITIVITY AND AN INCREASINGLY PRECISE ABILITY TO READ MEDIA EVENTS IN GENERAL. THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE A THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK WHICH WILL ALLOW HIM TO INDEPENDENTLY INTERPRET A VARIETY OF PHENOMENA FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF MEDIA DYNAMICS.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE HIS KNOWLEDGE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS (BOTH TO AN AUDIENCE OF EXPERTS AND TO NON-SPECIALISTS), EXPRESSING THEM WITH LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND SPECIFIC LEXICAL SKILLS, AND USING THE MOST SUITABLE REGISTER FOR EACH ONE CIRCUMSTANCE.

LEARNING ABILITY.
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX TEXTS AND USE BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS, BOTH TRADITIONAL AND COMPUTER, TO IDENTIFY AND SELECT SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE USEFUL FOR INCREASING THEIR OWN KNOWLEDGE.

Contents
SOCIAL MEDIA, VIDEOGAME, MASS CULTURE. EVOLUTION OF THE MEDIA AND TELEVISION (BETWEEN CREATIVE PROCESSES, CONTAMINATIONS AND DIGITAL CULTURES). IN SPECIFIC SPECIFICATION 3 ASPECTS ARE INVESTIGATED: 1) THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL MEDIA SOCIETY AND DIGITAL /CULTURE; 2) THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MUSIC AND TELEVISION; 3) VIDEOGAME.
Teaching Methods
TEACHING INCLUDES LECTURES AND EXERCISES. ESPECIALLY ON THE SUBJECT OF LITERARY REMEDIATION. TEACHING WILL THEREFORE BE DEVELOPED THROUGH FRONTAL LESSONS, EXERCISES, SEMINARS, AUDIOVISUAL PROJECTIONS.
Verification of learning
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE ORAL EXAMINATION WILL ALLOW THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE. ADDITIONALLY, EXAMINERS WILL HAVE TO DISCUSS A CRITICAL WORK ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC BY THE EXAMINER.
