THE COURSE OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH AN INTRODUCTORY AND CONTEXTUAL OVERVIEW OF IMMAGINARY (FROM VANGUARD TO DIGITAL SOCIETY). THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE A TRANSVERSAL KNOWLEDGE OF MEDIA HISTORY. LEARNING OUTCOMES IS THE PRECISE UNDERSTANDING OF THE EVOLUTIONARY LINES OF THE MEDIA. FOLLOWING THIS, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CAPTURE / ANALYZE / UNDERSTAND HISTORY, THEORIES, METHODOLOGIES AND MEDIA PRACTICES (ALSO THROUGH SPECIFIC LABORATORY EXERCISES AND SEMINARS WITH EVENTS AND CHARACTERS FROM THE MEDIA WORLD). |

A REFLECTION ON THE TECHNOLOGICAL IMAGINARY WITH A PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE COMMUNICATION, TO THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TECHNOLOGICAL IMAGINARY AND MASS CULTURES OF OUR CONTEMPORANEITY. A WAY TO UNDERSTAND THE GREAT THEMES OF GLOBAL CULTURE AND THE EPOCAL CHANGES OF OUR SOCIETY STARTING FROM THE IMAGINARY. IN THE FIRST PART OF THE TEACHING THE PATH WILL BE REBUILT THAT LEADED TO THE DEFINITION OF A SPECIFIC FIELD OF SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON THE IMAGINARY WITH REFERENCE TO SLAVOJ ŽIŽEK THE SECOND PART WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE POPULAR MUSIC AND SERIALITY WHICH PROPOSES AN INTERPRETATION OF THE CULTURE OF THE IMAGE AS A CENTRAL THEME FOR UNDERSTANDING THE CONTEMPORARY. THE THIRD PART WILL BE CENTERED ON THE NETWORK SOCIETY WITH A PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO Z GENERATION BETWEEN CONSUMPTIONS AND INNOVATIVE LANGUAGES INDICATED BY SOCIAL MEDIA |
