Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE:
KNOWLEDGE ON TECHNIQUES OF 3D COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND VIRTUAL REALITY WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE MAIN TECHNIQUES OF MODELING, LIGHTING, ANIMATION AND RENDERING, AIMING AT THE CREATION OF INTERACTIVE AND NON-INTERACTIVE CONTENT, REAL-TIME AND NON REAL-TIME, MONOSCOPIC AND STEREOSCOPIC.
KNOWLEDGE ON PRINCIPLES OF VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF INFORMATION.
DEEP KNOWLEDGE ON INFORMATION GRAPHICS AND DIGITAL VISUALIZATION.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:

USE MODELING TOOLS
ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF A VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF INFORMATION
Prerequisites
BASIC ANALYSIS MATHS. PROGRAMMING IN C OR C + +. BASICS OF LINEAR ALGEBRA (MATRICES), AND PHYSICAL (OPTICAL ELEMENTS, GEOMETRIC AND KINEMATIC) ARE PREFERABLE, BUT NOT A PREREQUISITE. IT IS USEFUL, FOR A BETTER FRUITION OF THE COURSE, A FAMILIARITY WITH APPLICATIONS FOR 3D MODELING AND ANIMATION, DIGITAL PHOTO EDITING, VIDEO EDITING, OR VIDEO GAMES.
