OBJECTIVES 1) GENERAL OBJECTIVE THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE METHODOLOGICAL AND COGNITIVE MEANS FUNCTIONAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND WRITING OF THE GRADUATE THESIS. 2) KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT - WILL UNDERSTAND THE REQUIREMENTS THAT DEFINE THE "SCIENTIFIC" WRITING PROPER TO THE GRADUATE THESIS; - WILL KNOW HOW TO DISTINGUISH THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF ELABORATION OF THE THESIS WORK; - WILL KNOW THE ELEMENTS OF METHOD THAT GUIDE THE STRUCTURING OF A THESIS AND MORE GENERALLY OF A RESEARCH PAPER; - WILL LEARN THE FORMAL ASPECTS RELATED TO THE WRITING OF A SCIENTIFIC TEXT. 3) ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL KNOW HOW TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED ELEMENTS OF METHOD AND KNOWLEDGE TO THE WRITING OF A SCIENTIFIC PAPER. HE/SHE WILL KNOW, IN PARTICULAR, HOW TO DEFINE THE STRUCTURE OF A RESEARCH PAPER, DESIGN ITS IMPLEMENTATION AND PROGRESS PLAN, DRAFT ITS BIBLIOGRAPHY ACCORDING TO CRITERIA OF RELEVANCE AND FORMAL CORRECTNESS. 4) AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THE STUDENT WILL DEVELOP A GREATER CRITICAL AWARENESS RELATED TO THE INSTRUMENTS AND AIMS PROPER TO THE WRITING OF A SCIENTIFIC PAPER, SO AS TO PROCEED AUTONOMOUSLY TO ITS ELABORATION. IN PARTICULAR, HE/SHE WILL BE ABLE TO EVALUATE THE WAYS OF ORGANIZING THE MATERIAL, AS WELL AS OF ARTICULATING AND ADVANCING THE WRITING WORK MOST APPROPRIATE TO THE THEME OF THE SAME. 5) COMMUNICATION SKILLS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO REPRESENT AND COMMUNICATE, BY MEANS OF TEXTS OR VIRTUAL TOOLS, RESULTS OF THEIR OWN RESEARCH OR ELABORATIONS BY PRESENTING THEM POSSIBLY THROUGH DIGITAL TOOLS. 6) LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT - WILL BE ABLE TO USE TRADITIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS ACTIVITIES, KNOWING HOW TO IDENTIFY AND INTERPRET TEXTS AND THE AVAILABLE CULTURAL HERITAGE APPROPRIATELY; - WILL BE ABLE TO REFINE AND ENHANCE HIS/HER SKILLS IN WRITING A SCHOLARLY PAPER. |
