SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: TEACHING HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF PROVIDING TOOLS, METHODS AND MODELS FOR THE TREATMENT AND ANALYSIS OF DATA OF ECOLOGICAL NATURE PORTABLE FROM SECONDARY SURVEYS. IN PARTICULAR, TEACHING PROVIDES: AN ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORY AND BASIC CONCEPTS OF THE SOCIAL RESEARCH APPLIED TO THE TERRITORY; AN ADEQUATE PADRONANCE OF THE METHOD OF SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO THE STUDIES ON THE TERRITORY; AN ADEQUATE COMPETENCE IN THE ELABORATION, ORGANIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF DATA COMING FROM SECONDARY ON-LINE AND OFF-LINE SOURCES; CAPACITY TO CONSULT BANKS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DATA CONTAINING SOCIO-TERRITORIAL DATA; COMPETENCE ON THE USE OF SOFTWARE DEDICATED TO THE QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ECOLOGICAL DATA. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TEACHING INTENDS TO FAVOR THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE EMPIRICAL RESEARCH TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR THE READING OF SOCIAL PHENOMENA WITHIN THE DIFFERENT TERRITORIAL CONTEXTS. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TEACHING ENHANCES THE ABILITY TO NAVIGATE WITHIN THE MAIN DATA BANKS ON A TERRITORIAL BASIS AND TO APPLY, TO THE RAISED MATERIAL, THE MAIN STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES, THROUGH THE USE OF APPROPRIATELY DEDICATED SOFTWARE PACKAGES, OF PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS OF THE TERRITORIAL DATA. |

NOT ALWAYS IN THE SOCIAL RESEARCH, IT IS POSSIBLE TO COLLECT NEW DATA TO RESPOND TO THE QUESTIONS WHERE YOU ARE INTERESTED. WE CAN PERSO ENTER A RESEARCH PATH USING DATA ALREADY COLLECTED BY OTHERS. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ALWAYS MORE RELEVANT THANKS TO THE INCREASING AVAILABILITY OF CENSUAL DATA BUT ALSO COMING FROM CHAMPIONSHIP INVESTIGATIONS, THE COLLECTION OF ITSELF IS OFTEN INSTITUTIONALIZED AND PERFORMED AT REGULAR INTERVALS IN TIME. WITH AN APPLICATION APPROACH, THE COURSE WANTS TO DEVELOP ALL THE ROUTE OF SECONDARY ANALYSIS FROM THE EXPLORATION OF THE LARGE WIDE OF ACCESSIBLE INFORMATION AT A MULTIPLI- TION OF DATA ARCHIVES (TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL). RELATED TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE DATA COLLECTED ARE DEVELOPED: CRITERIA FOR THE SELECTION OF THE INDICATORS ANALYSIS OF MULTIPLE INDICATORS THROUGH MULTIDIMENSIONAL DATA ANALYSIS (ACP; CLUSTER) |

THE COURSE PROVIDES 40 HOURS OF DIDACTICS IN THE AULA (WITHOUT FREQUENCY OBLIGATION). DURING THE LESSONS, THEY ARE FACED THEORETICAL MATCHES CONSTANTLY COMPLETED BY THE PRESENTATION EXERCISES BY WHICH THE METHODS AND CONTEXTS OF USE OF THE EXPLANATION ARE CLEARED. FOR SUCH REASON THE EXERCISES ARE INTEGRATED IN THE SCHEDULED LESSONS. I AM FINALLY PROVIDED, WITHIN 40 HOURS OF DIDACTICS AND AT THE END OF EACH MODULE, SOME LESSONS IN WHICH THE FINAL TEST IS SIMULATED AND THEREFORE DEDICATED TO THE PERFORMANCE OF EXERCISES. |
Verification of learning | |

THE EXAM DOES NOT PREVENT PROBLEMS INTERVIEW. THE STUDENT WILL BE ASSESSED DURING THE FINAL EXAMINATION THAT WILL BE DRAWN UP THE DATES OF THE CALENDARIZED EXAMS FROM THE DEPARTMENT. DURING THE FINAL TEST THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO SUPPORT: A WRITTEN TEST (VALIDATED IN THIRTY). WRITTEN TEST (1H AND 30 MIN DURATION). DURING THE WRITTEN TEST THE STUDENT WILL RECEIVE A CLOSED AND OPENED RESPONSE TEST IN THE 50% BALANCE. |
