THE COURSE AIMS TO PREPARE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND THE CAUSES OF CORPORATE CRISES AND TO ANALYZE THE TOOLS AND METHODOLOGIES TO ADDRESS THEM, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE DISCIPLINE OF THE CODE OF BUSINESS CRISIS AND INSOLVENCY. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL KNOW THE DISCIPLINARY FOUNDATIONS OF THE NEGOTIATED COMPOSITION OF THE CRISIS AND THE TOOLS FOR REGULATING THE CRISIS, NOTING THE DIFFERENCES IN THEIR APPLICATION. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EXAMINE THE INDIVIDUAL LEGAL INSTITUTIONS THAT THE ENTREPRENEUR CAN ACCESS, BOTH OF A CONTRACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL NATURE, AND ADVISE, SELECTING THE MOST APPROPRIATE ONE FOR THE SPECIFIC CASE IN ORDER TO ALLOW A RECOVERY OF THE COMPANY IN CRISIS. AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DISCERN THE VARIOUS TOOLS FOR RESOLVING CORPORATE CRISES AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE INSTITUTIONS PRESENT IN THE CODE OF BUSINESS CRISIS AND INSOLVENCY IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE ENTREPRENEURIAL CHOICES. COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO REPRESENT AND COMMUNICATE, THROUGH TEXTS OR VIRTUAL TOOLS, THE RESULTS OF RESEARCH OR THEIR OWN ELABORATIONS. LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET, FROM A BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE, THE REGULATIONS CONCERNING CORPORATE CRISES, AS WELL AS PROCEED WITH THE CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE, ALSO USING IT SYSTEMS. |

THE COURSE CONSISTS OF 36 HOURS OF LECTURES, WHICH AIM TO EXPLAIN THEORETICAL CONCEPTS AND ISSUES. CASE STUDIES ARE ALSO EXAMINED AND DISCUSSED TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO APPLY THEORETICAL CONCEPTS. ATTENDING THE LESSONS IS RECOMMENDED. |

THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN ORAL TEST, MARKED ON A SCALE OF 30/30., WHICH WILL BE HELD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEPARTMENT CALENDAR. PLEASE, NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO INTERMEDIATE TESTS. THE TEST, LASTING APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES, IS BASED ON QUESTIONS RELATED TO THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS OF THE TOPICS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM AND COULD ALSO INVOLVE DISCUSSION OF CASE STUDIES. THE EVALUATION WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS: • QUALITY OF EXPOSURE, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE; • ABILITY TO CORRELATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER SUBJECTS; • DEMONSTRATED JUDGMENT INDEPENDENCE. THE MINIMUM SCORE OF THE ORAL EXAM REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC TOPICS OF CORPORATE CRISIS AND TURNAROUND STRATEGIES. THE MAXIMUM SCORE IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A CRITICAL APPROACH AND THE ABILITY TO CONNECT THE DIFFERENT TOPICS RELATED TO HOW TO SOLVE CORPORATE CRISIS, ALSO HIGHLIGHTING THE IMPLICATIONS ARISING FROM THE APPLICATION OF DIFFERENT TOOLS AND STRATEGIES. EXCELLENCE REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO CRITICALLY DISCUSS CASE STUDIES. |
