LEARNING OBJECTIVES THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE IS TO INTEGRATE THE FUNDAMENTAL COURSES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND EUROPEAN UNION LAW WITH A MORE IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LAW IN MATTER OF HEALTH PROTECTION. IN LINE WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE JEAN MONNET CENTER OF EXCELLENCE "NEW VISIONS OF THE EU ROLE IN GLOBAL HEALTH" (EU4GH), COFUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION, THE COURSE IS DEDICATED TO THE GENERAL THEME "THE EU AND GLOBAL HEALTH LAW" AND AIMS TO EXPLORE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN HEALTH LAW, FOCUSING ON THE PROTECTION OF THE RIGHT TO HEALTH AND ON THE INTERACTION BETWEEN GLOBAL HEALTH LAW AND EU HEALTH LAW FOR PUBLIC HEALTH PROTECTION. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE COURSE AIMS AT ALLOWING STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE A SPECIALISTIC KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE INSTITUTIONAL ASPECTS AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LEGAL ORDER IN MATTER OF HEALTH , EXPLAINING THEIR ORIGINS, EVOLUTION AND THE MOST RECENT NORMATIVE, INSTITUTIONAL AND JURISPRUDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS. THIS COURSE INTENDS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THOSE CONCEPTUAL AND METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS NECESSARY TO CORRECTLY INTERPRET AND APPLY INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN HEALTH LAW IN THE EXERCISE OF LEGAL AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS IN ITALY AND ABROAD. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE COURSE AIMS AT ACHIEVING THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIVE CAPABILITIES: ABILITY TO EXAMINE, WITH FULL AWARENESS, THE LEGAL PROBLEMS ARISING IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN REGULATION OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED FIELDS AND THE SOLUTIONS PROVIDED BY INTERNATIONAL AND EU LAW; ACQUISITION OF ANALYTICAL SKILLS NECESSARY TO RESOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS OF EUROPEAN LAW ARISING IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL WORK CONTEXTS. |
