Objectives
THE GOAL OF LECTURES IS TO SUPPLY THE STUDENT WITH THEORETICAL AND APPLIED SKILLS NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS CONNECTED TO THE PROGRESS IN TECHNICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL FIELDS.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE STUDENT CAN IMPROVE HIS SKILL OF UNDERSTANDING THE MOST IMPORTANT DYNAMICS OF INNOVATION AND EVALUATION OF PUBLIC POLICIES.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE LECTURE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE SUITABLE KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE THE STUDENT ABLE TO ANALYSE TERRITORIAL PROBLEMS AND CONSTRUCT MODELS TO SOLVE PROBLEM CONNECTED WITH THE INNOVATION.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS:

THE LECTURES ARE AIMED TO ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF THE STUDENT TO CRITICALLY ANALYSE THE HUGE THEME OF THE INNOVATION. SO THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EXAMINE THE REAL INNOVATION POLICY AND MAKES JUDGEMENT ABOUT THE EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY OF THE POLICY DEVELOPED BY THE GOVERNMENT AT DIFFERENT LEVEL (INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL AND LOCAL) TO SUPPORT THE INNOVATION PROCESSES.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
THE LECTURES AIM TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY OF THE STUDENT TO COMMUNICATE PROBLEMS AND METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS TO OTHER PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE FIELD OF THE INNOVATION. THE LECTURES WILL BE ARTICULATED TO DEVELOP DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES EACH ONE AIMED TO IMPROVE THE STUDENT SKILL GAINED WITH THE COURSE.

LEARNING SKILLS:
THE CONTINUING EVOLUTION OF ECONOMIC SCIENCE THAT DEALS WITH INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY SUGGESTS A CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF SKILLS. FOR THIS REASON, THE LECTURES WILL PROVIDE TO THE STUDENT THE NECESSARY AUTONOMY FOR THE ATTAINMENT OF A BROADER KNOWLEDGE AND ADAPTATION SKILLS TO THE REAL WORLD.

2) PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS OF INNOVATION (20 HOURS OF LECTURES):
•THE INNOVATION ECONOMICS INDICATORS;
•INNOVATION AND INDUSTRIAL DYNAMIC;
•THE PROCESS OF DIFFUSION OF THE INNOVATIONS;
•PUBLIC POLICY FOR INNOVATION.
3) ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE INNOVATION (20 HOURS OF LECTURES):
•THE SOURCES OF THE INNOVATION;
•ECONOMY OF THE PATENT;
•THE NET-TECHNOLOGY;
•THE NATIONAL SYSTEMS FOR INNOVATION;
•CONCURRENT TECHNOLOGIES;
•INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY;
•THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY;
•THE APPLE CASE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE (I SEMESTER, I YEAR) REQUIRES 60 HOURS OF LECTURES (10 UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL CREDITS – CFU).
TEACHING METHODS:
LECTURES AND OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH THE TEACHER BY E-MAIL.
Verification of learning
TO ATTEND THE LECTURES IS RECOMMENDED TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE CASE STUDIES.
ASSESSMENT FOR THIS COURSE WILL COMPRISE AN ORAL EXAM EVALUATED ON THE BASIS OF 30 POINTS SCALE.
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE ORAL EXAM LASTS ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES AND CONSISTS OF A CRITICAL DISCUSSION ON ALL THE TOPICS AND CASE STUDIES PRESENTED DURING THE LECTURES TO ASSESS KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION DURING CLASSES IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR THE FINAL EVALUATION.
THE MINIMUM PASSING GRADE IS 18/30.
