Objectives
THE GOAL OF LECTURES IS TO SUPPLY THE STUDENT WITH THEORETICAL AND APPLIED SKILLS NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS CONNECTED TO THE TOURISM SECTOR.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT CAN IMPROVE HIS SKILL OF UNDERSTANDING:
- THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE MACRO AND MICRO-ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF TOURISM;
- THE STRUCTURAL CHANGE AND ECONOMICS DYNAMICS OF TOURISM SECTOR.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE:
- TO CRITICALLY ANALYSE TOURISM SYSTEMS FROM AN ECONOMIC POINT OF VIEW;
- TO ADAPT SKILLS TO THE REAL WORLD;
- TO COMMUNICATE PROBLEMS AND METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS TO OTHER PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE FIELD OF THE TOURISM.

TOURISM MICROECONOMICS (15 HOURS OF LECTURES):
•THE CHOICES OF THE CONSUMER TOURIST;
•TOURISM MARKETS;
•CONTRACTS IN TOURISM MARKETS;
•IT -TRAVEL AND TOURISM INDUSTRIES-.

TOURISM MACROECONOMIC (15 HOURS OF LECTURES):
•MACROECONOMIC INDICATORS;
•TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT -CONCEPTS AND ISSUES-;
•INTERNATIONAL TOURISM;
•THE ROLE OF TOURISM IN SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT;
•STATE INTERVENTION AND TOURISM PUBLIC POLICY.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE (I SEMESTER, I YEAR) REQUIRES 30 HOURS OF LECTURES (5 UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL CREDITS - CFU).
TEACHING METHODS:
LECTURES AND OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH THE TEACHER BY E-MAIL.
Verification of learning
TO ATTEND THE LECTURES IS RECOMMENDED TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE CASE STUDIES.
ASSESSMENT FOR THIS COURSE WILL COMPRISE AN ORAL EXAM EVALUATED ON THE BASIS OF 30 POINTS SCALE.
AT THE END OF COURSE,THE ORAL EXAM LASTS ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES AND CONSISTS OF A DISCUSSION ON ALL THE TOPICS AND CASE STUDIES PRESENTED DURING THE LECTURES TO ASSESS KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION DURING CLASSES IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR THE FINAL EVALUATION.
THE MINIMUM PASSING GRADE IS 18/30.
