Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE WILL BE TO EXPLAIN THE DYNAMICS RELATED TO THE BEHAVIOR OF THE FIRMS OPERATING IN THE NON-COMPETITIVE MARKETS. IN THAT WAY THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS RELATED TO THAT KIND OF MARKETS AND THUS THE MOTIVATIONS THAT DETERMINE THE REGULATORY INTERVENTIONS BY THE ANTITRUST AUTHORITY. FURTHERMORE THE COURSE WILL DISCUSS THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS CONNECTED TO THE COMPETITION AND REGULATION OF THE BIG DATA MARKETS.
Prerequisites
IT IS NECESSARY TO KNOW THE BASIC NOTIONS OF MICROECONOMICS, AS WELL AS TO BE ABLE: TO SOLVE A MAXIMIZATION PROBLEM, TO CALCULATE A NASH EQUILIBRIUM AND TO FACE THE COMPARATIVE STATICS ANALYSIS.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL BE ORGANIZED IN THE FOLLOWING WAY: 30 HOURS OF LECTURES (10 CREDITS), DURING THE LECTURES THERE WILL BE TIME TO SOLVE EXERCISES AND TO DISCUSS OTHER PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS RELATED TO CASE STUDIES.
Verification of learning
THE COURSE FINAL GRADE WILL FOLLOW A WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAM CONSISTING IN THEORETICAL QUESTION AND EXERCISES. THE EXAM WILL BE CONSIDERED PASSED IF THE STUDENT WILL GET A MINIMUM OF 18/30
