DEEPINING OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GREEK LANGUAGE (PHONETICS, MORPHOLOGY, SYNTAX, VOCABULARY).
DEEPINING OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FORMS OF LITERARY COMMUNICATION IN GREECE.
KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS OF ANALYZING AND INTERPRETING GREEK LITERARY TEXTS.


APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
ENHANCEMENT OF THE ABILITY TO PUT THE GREEK TEXTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE AUTHOR'S WORKS, OF THE LITERARY GENRE AND OF THE HISTORICAL PERIOD.
ENHANCEMENT OF THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND TO ANALYZE GREEK LITERARY TEXTS AND TO FACE THEIR INTERPRETATIVE AND HISTORICAL-CRITICAL PROBLEMS.
Prerequisites
KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE PHONETICS, MORPHOLOGY AND SYNTAX OF THE GREEK LANGUAGE.
IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE PASSED THE PREPARATORY EXAM OF GREEK LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE I.

Teaching Methods
30 HOURS OF LESSONS.
THE LESSONS ARE CONDUCTED WITH PARTICIPATORY METHOD AND CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS ON THE MAJOR PROBLEMS OF LANGUAGE AND INTERPRETATION. (20 HOURS)
GUIDED ANALYSIS AND TRANSLATION OF GREEK TEXTS (10 HOURS)
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED THROUGH AN ORAL EXAM OF ABOUT 20/30 MINUTES LENGHT, WITH POSITIVE EVALUATION FROM 18 TO 30.
ORAL EXAM WILL VERIFY KNOWLEDGE OF GREEK LANGUAGE, COMPETENCE AND ABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING, INTERPRETING AND ANALYZING GREEK TEXTS (BOTH FROM THE LINGUISTIC AND THE LITERARY POINT OF VIEW), KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF GREEK LITERATURE AND OF THE FORMS OF LITERARY COMMUNICATIONS, ABILITY TO PUT THE GREEK TEXTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE AUTHOR'S WORKS, OF THE LITERARY GENRE AND OF THE HISTORICAL PERIOD.
THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE CLEARLY, WITH APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT WILL BE ALSO EVALUED.
