THE COURSE IS AIMED TO DEVELOP – BY A COMPARATIVE VIEW AND ESPECIALLY FOCUSING ON WESTERN AREA’S LEGAL SYSTEMS – AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LAW AND RELIGION. THROUGHOUT THE COURSE, THE STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE SPECIFIC INSTRUMENTS FOR A DEEPER KNOWLEDGE AND A CRITICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF VERY IMPORTANT PHENOMENA – FIRST OF ALL: THE GLOBALIZATION AND THE DECLINE OF THE NATIONAL STATE’S SOVEREIGNTY – BOTH ON THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN RELIGION AND POLITICS AND ON THE SAFEGUARD OF THE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. EXPECTING LEARNING OUTCOMES: 1)KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, IN A COMPARATIVE VIEW, OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL LAW REFERRING THE WESTERN AREAS’ LEGAL SYSTEM; UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LAW AND RELIGION IN THAT AREA AND ESPECIALLY REFERRING TO THE DYNAMICS OF THE INTEGRATION AND UNIFICATION OF THE LEGAL SYSTEMS; 2) APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: ABILITY TO INTERPRET CORRECTLY THE PRINCIPLES AND THE CONTENTS OF THE ECCLESIASTIC LAW AND TO AND TO DEFINE THEIR CONCRETE APPLICATION, ESPECIALLY REFERRING TO THE TOPICS OF THE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM; 3)AUTONOMOUS JUDGMENT ABILITY TO A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMICS, IN A COMPARATIVE VIEW, OF THE ECCLESIASTIC LAW WITH A SPECIAL REGARD TO THE SAFEGUARD OF THE RELIGIOUS FREEDOM; 4) COMMUNICATION ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE APPLYING A PROPER LEGAL LANGUAGE ON ISSUES AND PROBLEMS OF THE DISCIPLINARY FIELD; 5)LEARNING KNOWLEDGE AND INSTRUMENTAL REFERENCES FOR A DEEPER KNOWLEDGE AND FURTHER ABILITIES RELATED TO THE DISCIPLINARY FIELD AND TO THE RELATED AND ADJACENT AREAS |
