KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- HAVE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, WITH THE SUPPORT OF TEXT BOOKS, ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR THE ANALYSIS OF DATA AND FOR THE TREATMENT OF DATA FROM SAMPLE SURVEYS.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- HAVE ACQUIRED SKILLS AND OPERATIONAL PRACTICES RELATING TO THE COLLECTION, TREATMENT, MEASUREMENT AND INTERPRETATION OF SOCIAL PHENOMENA;
- HAVE ACQUIRED THE ABILITY TO PLAN, ORGANIZE AND MANAGE STATISTICAL DATABASE.
Prerequisites
PASSING THE OFA IN MATHS.
ABILITY IN USING SPREADSHEETS (E.G. EXCEL)

Teaching Methods
LECTURES AND CLASSROOM EXERCISES. CASE-STUDY IN THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC FIELD.
Verification of learning
INTERCOURSE LEARNING TESTS, THE FINAL EXAM PROVIDES A WRITTEN TEST FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF PRACTICAL SKILLS AND AN ORAL TEST TO EVALUATE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THEORIC ASPECTS. ALL STUDENTS ARE ADMITTED TO THE ORAL DISCUSSION. THE EXAM IS PASSED PROVIDED THAT THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO COVER HALF OF THE WRITTEN EXERCISES AND SHOW PROPER PADRONANCE OF THE PECULIAR LANGUAGE OF THE FIELD.
