Objectives
1. KNOWING HOW TO ANALYZE FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE DIFFERENT LINGUISTIC AND LITERARY TEXTUAL FORMS AND ACT LINGUISTICALLY, ORALLY AND IN WRITING IN DIFFERENT CULTURAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUNDS; 2. THE ABILITY TO USE THE SKILLS ACQUIRED IN THE MORE GENERAL CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC, AND PARTICULARLY DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO REFLECT ON THE THEMES OF THEIR WORK, TO BE ABLE TO ARGUE THEIR CLEARLY AND TO BE ABLE TO WORK AND SOLVE ANY RELATED PROBLEMS BOTH HISTORICAL-CRITICAL LEVEL OF INTERPRETATION.
3.AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY UNDERSTAND, SELECT AND CRITICALLY EVALUATE WORKS AND AUTHORS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE IN A COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVE, ALONGSIDE WORKS AND AUTHORS OF DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, BUT ALSO OF DIFFERENT GENRES OF WRITING AND ART.
4.COMMUNICATION SKILLS: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO REPRESENT AND COMMUNICATE, BY MEANS OF TEXTS OR VIRTUAL TOOLS, THE RESULTS OF THEIR OWN RESEARCH OR ELABORATIONS.
5.LEARNING ABILITY: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO USE TRADITIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS AND COMPUTER ANALYSIS AND ARCHIVING RESOURCES; TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH, UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET LITERARY TEXTS.

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT AUTHORS AND TEXTS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE FROM THE SIXTEENTH TO THE NINETEENTH CENTURY (ARIOSTO, MACHIAVELLI, GUICCIARDINI, TASSO, MARINO, GALILEI, GOLDONI, PARINI, ALFIERI, FOSCOLO, MANZONI, LEOPARDI, NIEVO, CARDUCCI, VERGA: THE CHOSEN TEXTS WILL BE PROVIDED IN HANDOUTS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE COURSE). DURING THE COURSE WILL BE DEEPENED THE RELATIONSHIP OF TORQUATO TASSO WITH THE CIVILIZATION OF HIS TIME WILL BE EXPLORED, WITHIN A HISTORICAL AND LITERARY PROFILE OF THE EXPRESSIVE FORMS OF POETIC PRODUCTION FROM THE RENAISSANCE TO AGE OF ARCADIA.

ORAL EXAM AIMED AT VERIFYING THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF ANALYSIS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE POLYSETHIC STRUCTURES OF A LITERARY TEXT, THE ABILITY TO READ AND CRITICALLY UNDERSTAND THE WORKS AND AUTHORS CONSTITUTING THE CANON OF ITALIAN LITERATURE, THE READING AND CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORKS AND AUTHORS.WITH REGARD TO THE CRITERIA OF JUDGMENT, THE TEACHER WILL ALSO BE ELEMENTS OF IMPORTANT EVALUATION THE MASTERY OF LITERARY DISCOURSE, THE COMMUNICATION ABILITY AND THE AUTONOMY IN CRITICALLY ARGUING OF THE CANDIDATE.
