Objectives
THE GOAL OF COURSE IS AN ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THE STATE INSTITUTIONS BETWEEN THE 18TH AND THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY. THE COURSE OBJECTIVE IS A SERIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROFILE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTEMPORARY INSTITUTIONS, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE STUDY OF POLITICAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROCESSES THAT LED TO THE FORMATION AND CONSOLIDATION OF NATIONAL STATES BETWEEN EUROPE AND THE CONTEMPORARY DEVELOPMENT OF IMPERIAL SYSTEMS .

THE GOAL OF COURSE IS AN ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE OF GLOBAL AND EUROPEAN HISTORY BETWEEN THE LATE 19TH AND EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY. THE COURSE AIMS TO FORM A SERIOUS AND SOLID BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CONTEMPORARY POLITICAL AND CULTURAL HISTORY, ANALYZING THE FORMATION OF NATIONAL STATES, THE DEVELOPMENT OF MASS SOCIETY, THE BIRTH OF MODERN POLITICS, THE GREAT IDEOLOGICAL AND GEOPOLITICAL CONFLICTS, THE RISE AND OVERCOMING IMPERIAL SYSTEMS. THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO MASTER A GOOD MASTERY OF THE MAIN HISTORICAL PROCESSES AND INTERPRETATIVE MODELS OF CONTEMPORARY AGE.

THE COURSE IS CONCEIVED WITH A SERIES OF FRONTAL LESSONS, SEMINARS AND EVEN EXTERNAL EXPERIENCES, ALWAYS WITH A CONTINUOUS COMPARISON WITH STUDENTS, AND WITH PERIODIC LEARNING TESTS
Verification of learning
THE ORAL EXAMINATION MAKES TO CHECK THAT STUDENTS HAVE DEVELOPED CRITICAL ATTITUDES AND AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THAT HAS BEEN ADAPTED IN THE HISTORY OF CONTEMPORARY INSTITUTIONS AND OF THE MAIN INTERPRETATIVE MODELS PROPOSED.
