THE COURSE FOCUSES ON: A) A DEFINITION OF THE THEORETICAL BASES, FUNCTIONS AND APPLICATION OF THE DISCIPLINE; B) A LARGE AND DETAILED HISTORY OF BIBLIOGRAPHY WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE MAIN EVENTS, PEOPLE AND CONCEPTS THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE EVOLUTION OF BIBLIOGRAPHY BETWEEN XV AND XX CENTURIES; C) ILLUSTRATION OF SOURCES, PRACTICES AND METHODS OF THE BIBLIOGRAPHIC WORK, ARCHIVES, OPACS, DATA BASES, ETC. |

TEACHING METHODS. THE COURSE CONSISTS IN FIVE DIDACTICAL MODULES, EACH ONE ILLUSTRATED BY SLIDES: A) INTRODUCTION TO THE DISCIPLINE (ETYMOLOGY, OBJECT, AIMS ETC.); B) BASIC ELEMENTS OF BIBLIOLOGY; C) HISTORY OF BIBLIOGRAPHY (XV-XX CENTURIES; D) BIBLIOGRAPHIC RESEARCH AND ON-LINE SOURCES E) BIBLIOGRAPHIC QUOTATION AND EDITING. THERE WILL BE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE MATERIAL (BIBLIOGRAPHIC INVENTORIES, HAND PRINTED BOOKS, ETC.) AND ON-LINE RESEARCHES AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC QUOTATIONS WITH THE AIM OF BUILDING UP BIBLIOGRAPHY AND PRACTICAL SKILLS IN EDITING TEXTS. |
