Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO ILLUSTRATE THE BEHAVIOR OF FIRMS AND THE RESULTS OF THE MARKET IN THE PRESENCE OF IMPERFECT COMPETITION.

THE COURSE DEEPENED CONTENTS AND METHODS OF ANALYSIS OF THE INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION WITH REFERENCE TO FIRMS AND MARKETS.

THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A SET OF KNOWLEDGE THAT ALLOW THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE MOST RELEVANT PROBLEMS OF MARKET POWER AS WELL AS THE VARIOUS REASONS THAT JUSTIFY THE REGULATORY INTERVENTIONS BY THE ANTITRUST AUTHORITY.
Prerequisites
THIS IS AN ELECTIVE COURSE DESIGNED FOR MASTER STUDENTS. KNOWLEDGE OF INTRODUCTORY MICROECONOMICS AND MACROECONOMICS IS REQUIRED.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INCLUDES 30 CLASSES, 2 HOURS EACH (10 CFU). 6 HOURS WILL BE DEDICATED TO EXERCISES. THE DIRECT INVOLVEMENT OF THE STUDENT IS REQUIRED.
Verification of learning
THE COURSE GRADE WILL FOLLOW A FINAL WRITTEN EXAM CONSISTING IN THEORETICAL QUESTION AND EXERCISES. THE EXAM WILL BE CONSIDERED PASSED IF YOU WILL GET A MINIMUM OF 18/30
