Objectives

To know and understand the mechanism of action and pharmacokinetics of drugs used in human pathologies.
To be able to apply the acquired Knowledge about the mechanism of drug action for the management of human pathologies as well as the evaluation of interactions and adverse reactions.
To provide the knowledge of the chemical bases that effect the activities of the drugs both as regards the pharmacokinetic and the pharmacodynamic properties. To provide the basis for understanding chemical properties of selected classes of drugs either of synthetic or natural origin. The student should apply the acquired knowledge about the mechanism of drug action for the evaluation of interactions between drugs and herbal products and related adverse reactions.
