Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS ARE ACQUAINTED WITH A COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF CIVIL LAW FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES AND RULES, THROUGHOUT A JURISPRUDENTIAL AND CASE LAW APPROACH. THE COURSE PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH CONCEPTUAL INSTRUMENTS FUNCTIONAL TO THE LEARNING OF SPECIFIC ASPECTS RELATED TO ENTERPRISES AND BUSINESSES ACTIVITY AS WELL AS LABOUR RELATIONSHIPS.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE CAPACITY TO APPLY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TO CONCRETE SITUATIONS AND TO COMBINE IT WITH THE SPECIFIC CONCEPTS THAT THEY WILL LEARN DURING THEIR FURTHER STUDIES.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS:
PROBLEMATIC METHOD AS WELL AS UNITARY APPROACH TO THE LEGAL SYSTEM ARE CRUCIAL TO DEVELOP STUDENTS HIGH CRITICAL CAPACITY RELATED NOT ONLY TO THE CIVIL LAW ISSUES BUT ALSO TO THE OTHER FIELDS OF LAW.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE CAPACITY TO REPRESENT (ALSO TO NON SPECIALISTS) AND DISCUSS EFFECTIVELY THE RESULTS OF THEIR WORK: IDENTIFYING LEGAL PROBLEMS, EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT RELATED TO CIVIL LAW, QUALIFYING THE DIFFERENT SITUATIONS, APPLYING THE APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINE, ETC.
LEARNING SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE CAPACITY TO ANALYZE NEW AND DIFFERENT LEGAL PROBLEMS AND TO DEVELOP THEIR COMPETENCES THROUGH AN APPROPRIATE RESEARCH METHOD, USING LITERATURE AND NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ON LINE DATA BASES.

THE TEACHING RELATES TO THE DISCIPLINE FOR THE PROTECTION OF CONSUMER LAW ITALIAN-COMMUNITY LEGAL. IT AIMS TO OFFER A DETAILED RECONSTRUCTION OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION POLICIES IN EUROPE AND IN ITALY, IN VIEW OF THE PURSUIT OF A TRULY COMPETITIVE MARKET. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE DISCIPLINE OF COMPETITION, THE RULES ON COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING, UNFAIR COMMERCIAL PRACTICES, TO CONSUMER CONTRACTS, THE ABUSE OF ECONOMIC DEPENDENCE AND A WEAK PROTECTION OF THE ENTREPRENEUR, THE CONSUMER CREDIT CONTRACTS, CONTRACTS NEGOTIATED AWAY FROM BUSINESS PREMISES AND DISTANCE CONTRACTS, CONSUMER PROTECTION IN THE TIMESHARE, THE SALE OF PACKAGE TOURS, TO THE PROTECTION OF USERS OF PUBLIC SERVICES, THE LIABILITY FOR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS, THE PROVISIONS ON SAFETY, QUALITY AND CONFORMITY OF THE PRODUCTS, THE SALE OF CONSUMER GOODS, THE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND TO CLASS ACTIONS.

LECTURES, SEMINARS ALSO HELD BY LECTURERS FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES AND PRACTITIONERS, EXERCISES AND DISCUSSION ON CASE LAW.
Verification of learning
FOR STUDENTS FOLLOWING THE LESSONS: ONE ORAL EXAM RELATIVELY TO ONE PART OF THE PROGRAM AT THE END OF THE LESSONS AND ONE ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION RELATIVELY TO THE REMAINING PART OF THE PROGRAM.
FOR STUDENTS NOT FOLLOWING THE LESSONS ONE ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION.
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES THAT WILL BE TESTED ARE: KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISCIPLINE OF PRIVATE LAW RULES, ACQUISITION OF ADEQUATE TECHNICAL AND LEGAL LANGUAGE SKILLS, ABILITY TO EMBODY IN PRACTICAL EXAMPLES THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED.
