THE CLASS OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IS AIMED TO DEVELOP AND DEEPEN THE KNOWLEDGE NEEDED FOR THE CORRECT EVALUATION OF THE WATER RESOURCES AND OF THEIR OPTIMAL EXPLOITATION AND MANAGEMENT. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: FROM A GENERAL POINT OF VIEW OF THE CLASS IS AIMED TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE AND MASTERY OF THE BASIC AND ADVANCED PRINCIPLES OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, ACQUIRED THROUGH THE STUDY OF THEORETICAL PRINCIPALS, AND MOSTLY FROM THE ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDIES AND PROBLEM SOLVING. FROM A SPECIFIC POINT OF VIEW, THE CLASS IS AIMED TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS: - GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT - WATER RESOURCES CHARACTERIZATION AND OPTIMAL EXPLOITATION - RULES FOR THE PROTECTION OF LAND FROM FLOODS - ECOLOGIC REQUIREMENTS AND HYDROLOGIC MINIMA ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: FROM A GENERAL POINT OF VIEW THE CLASS IS AIMED TO PROVIDE THE ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES IN ORDER TO SOLVE PROBLEMS WITHIN INNOVATIVE AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES AND TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT INNOVATIVE AND ORIGINAL APPROACHES. FROM A SPECIFIC POINT OF VIEW, THE CLASS IS AIMED TO PROVIDE THE SKILLS NEEDED TO: - ANALYSE HYDROLOGICAL TIME SERIES - CHARACTERIZE WATER RESOURCES - OPTIMIZE WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, UNDER HYDROLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS JUDGEMENT: ABILITY TO COLLECT AND INTEGRATE KNOWLEDGE RELATED TO WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN ORDER TO MANAGE THE COMPLEXITY AND THE CASE OF LIMITED INFORMATION IN ORDER TO ISSUE NOT ONLY TECHNICAL BUT ALSO SOCIAL AND ETHICAL JUDGMENTS RELATED TO THE APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE COMMUNICATION SKILLS: COMMUNICATE IN A CLEAR AND UNAMBIGUOUS WAY KNOWLEDGE, METHODS AND CONCLUSIONS ON ISSUES RELATED TO WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT TO INTERLOCUTORS WITH SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND IDEAS, BASIC CONCEPTS AND SOLUTIONS TO NON-SPECIALISTS INTERLOCUTORS LEARNING SKILLS: LEARNING CAPABILITIES THAT ENABLE IT TO CONTINUE STUDYING MOSTLY IN A SELF - DIRECTED OR AUTONOMOUS AND PROPENSITY FOR INNOVATION. THE CLASS CONSISTS OF 60 HOURS OF WHICH APPROXIMATELY 60% IS DEVOTED TO THE THEORY, 40% IS DEVOTED TO EXERCISES. |

(6H LEZIONE, 4H ESERCITAZIONE) MODELLO DI GENERAZIONE SINTETICA DEI DEFLUSSI MENSILI: COMPONENTI DEI DEFLUSSI, DESCRIZIONE DEL PROCESSO MEDIANTE UNO SCHEMA ARMA, METODI PER LA CALIBRAZIONE DEL MODELLO E LA STIMA DEGLI AFFLUSSI NETTI. (3H LEZIONE, 2H ESERCITAZIONE) IMPIANTI A SERBATORIO: PRINCIPI DI FUNZIONAMENTO, CURVE DI POSSIBILITÀ DI REGOLAZIONE, METODO DEL MASSIMO DEFICIT CUMULATO CON APPLICAZIONE DETERMINISTICA (SERIE DI DATI) E PROBABILISTICA (METODO MONTE CARLO CON DATI GENERATI SINTETICAMENTE), GESTIONE DEI SERBATOI AI FINI DELLA DIFESA DALLE PIENE. (5H LEZIONE, 5H ESERCITAZIONE) IMPIANTI IDROELETTRICI: CURVE DI DURATA DELLE PORTATE, REGOLARIZZAZIONE DELLE CURVE E DEI MINIMI, CURVE DI DURATA DELLE POTENZE, MASSIMA PRODUCIBILITÀ DI UN IMPIANTO AD ACQUA FLUENTE. PRESENTATION OF THE EXERCISES AND ORAL EXAM THE STUDENT WILL BE REQUIRED AT LEAST TO KNOW AND BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE METHODS AND MODELS USED IN THE EXERCISES. THE ABILITY OF USING THE CONCEPTS OF THE SUBJECT TO SOLVE NEW PROBLEMS WILL BE ALSO EVALUATED FOR THE ‘CUM LAUDE’ GRADE, WILL BE CONSIDERED: QUALITY OF PRESENTATION ABILITY OF CROSS CORRELATION AMONG THE TOPICS OF THE CLASS AND OTHER SUBJECTS AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT. |
