Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE OVERVIEW OF THE ANALYTICAL PROCESS, STARTING FROM THE CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL FUNDAMENT OF THE EQUILIBRIUM AND THE QUANTITIES BEING MEASURED UP TO THE CHOICE OF METHODS OF ANALYSIS, THE PROCESSING AND INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED.
ON THE APPLICATION
CONCERNING THE PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY PART, THE COURSE AIM TO PROVIDE STUUDENTS WITH THE PHYSICAL CHEMICAL PRINCIPLES IN PHARMACY AND THE
PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES. PHYSICAL PHARMACY

REGARDING THE PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY MODULE, THE CHEMICAL PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES USEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESSES OF THE WORLD OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES WILL BE PROVIDED. IN PARTICULAR, KNOWLEDGE ON THE STATES OF MATTER. THERMODYNAMICS, DETERMINATION OF PHYSICAL PROPERTIES, MOLECULES, COMPLEXITY AND BINDING WITH PROTEINS, DIFFUSION, RELEASE AND DISSOLUTION OF DRUGS, INTERFACTIOUS PHENOMENES, COLLOIDAL DISPERSIONS GROSSOLANE DISPERSIONS, REOLOGY.

HE WILL ALSO POSSESS A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS METHODS; IN PARTICULAR, HE WILL KNOW THE THEORETICAL BASIS OF THE CLASSIC GRAVIMETRIC, VOLUMETRIC AND INSTRUMENTAL METHODS WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC TECHNIQUES, THE USE OF EXTRACTION, SEPARATION AND PURIFICATION TECHNIQUES WITH CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHODS. FURTHERMORE, HE WILL KNOW THE METHODS OF STATISTICAL ANALYSIS NECESSARY FOR THE CORRECT EVALUATION AND CORRELATION OF THE RESULTS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- APPLY AND PROPERLY MANAGE THE CALCULATION OF THERMODYNAMICS AND KINETICS PROBLEMS
- APPLY THE STOICHIOMETRIC CALCULATION NECESSARY FOR THE USE OF GRAVIMETRIC AND VOLUMETRIC METHODS
- TO INTERPRET THE EMISSION AND INTERACTION PHENOMENA OF MATTER WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION FROM A CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL POINT OF VIEW;
- PLAN THE USE OF SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC, EXTRACTION, CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION AND PURIFICATION TECHNIQUES IN ORDER TO OBTAIN QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE INFORMATION;
- INTERPRET A CHROMATOGRAM ALSO IN TERMS OF EVALUATING EFFICIENCY AND RESOLUTION;
- APPLY STATISTICAL METHODS AND TESTS FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF DATA AND THE EVALUATION OF THEIR RELIABILITY.

MAKING JUDGMENTS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- PUT IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT THE QUESTIONS SHE/HE WILL BE ASKED DURING THE EXAMINATION (BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL) AND SELECT THE MOST APPROPRIATE AND SPECIFIC ANSWER, AVOIDING UNNECESSARY AND NOT REQUESTED GENERAL DISSERTATIONS;
- PROPERLY LINK TOGETHER THE KNOWLEDGE DERIVING FROM DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES ON A CERTAIN TOPIC AND INTEGRATE THEM TO HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING:
- INTERACT WITH THE THEMES SUGGESTED BY THE TEACHER AND, EVEN WITH THE HELP OF THE RECOMMENDED TEXTS AND TEACHING MATERIALS, BE ABLE TO MAKE INDEPENDENT JUDGMENTS

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN AND DEVELOP CONCEPTS WITH CLARITY, SYNTHESIS AND LANGUAGE SKILLS.
