Objectives
GENERAL LEARNING OUTCOMES:
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTENTS AND THEMES COMMON TO THE LITERATURES AND ARTS .

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW:
- THE NETWORK OF RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE SO CALLED NATIONAL LITERATURES;
- THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND THE ARTS (IN PARTICULAR FIGURATIVE ARTS);
- THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND THE POST-TYPOGRAPHIC ARTISTIC FORMS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- IMPROVE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAJOR CULTURAL PHENOMENA;
- HANDLE THE ESSENTIAL TOOLS OF ARTS AND MEDIA PRODUCTION;
- ANALYZE THE COMMON DISSEMINATION OF THEMES, FORMS AND GENRES IN DIFFERENT MEDIA.

MAKING JUDGMENTS:
STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE A THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK TO AUTONOMOUSLY ANALYZE AND UNDERSTAND CULTURAL PHENOMENA.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AT DIFFERENT LEVELS IN PROFESSIONAL AND NONPROFESSIONAL CONTEXTS, MASTERING THE LANGUAGE OF THE DISCIPLINE AND ADOPTING THE MOST APPROPRIATE REGISTER.

LEARNING SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND COMPLEX TEXTS AND SELECT AND USE BOTH TRADITIONAL AND ONLINE BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS IN ORDER TO UPGRADE THEIR KNOWLEDGE.

LECTURES IN ITALIAN (30 HOURS). EXCERPTS FROM THE ORIGINAL ENGLISH VERSION WILL BE READ AND ANALYSED DURING THE COURSE. USE OF FILMIC MATERIAL RELATED TO THE THEMES OF THE COURSE.
Verification of learning
ORAL EXAM. STUDENTS WILL DEMONSTRATE TO BE ABLE TO: DISCUSS THE TEXTS AND THE THEMES OF THE COURSE; EXPRESS THEMSELVES CLEARLY AND FLUENTLY IN ITALIAN; READ AND UNDERSTAND CHOSEN PASSAGES IN ITALIAN FROM THE PRIMARY TEXTS INCLUDED IN THE READING LIST; RELATE AUTHORS AND TEXTS TO THEIR HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CONTEXT; SELECT AND MEMORIZE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DATA.
