GENERAL LEARNING OUTCOMES: THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTENTS AND THEMES OF ITALIAN LITERATURE AS THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF A COMMUNITY OF SPEAKERS WHO RECOGNIZE THEMSELVES IN THEIR LANGUAGE. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW: - THE MOST SIGNIFICANT AUTHORS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE IN PROSE AND VERSE ; - THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND THE ARTS (IN PARTICULAR PERFORMING ARTS); - SOME OF THE MAIN METHODOLOGIES OF LITERARY STUDIES. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: - IMPROVE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF MAJOR LITERARY PHENOMENA; - HANDLE THE BASIC TOOLS OF LITERARY PRODUCTION; - ANALYZE THE COMMON DISSEMINATION OF THEMES, FORMS AND GENRES IN ITALIAN LITERATURE. MAKING JUDGMENTS: STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO AUTONOMOUSLY ANALYZE THE SOURCES OF THE DISCIPLINE AND APPRECIATE THE VALUE AND ORIGINALITY OF SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AT DIFFERENT LEVELS IN PROFESSIONAL AND NONPROFESSIONAL CONTEXTS, MASTERING THE LANGUAGE OF THE DISCIPLINE AND ADOPTING THE MOST APPROPRIATE REGISTER. LEARNING SKILLS: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND COMPLEX TEXTS AND SELECT AND USE BOTH TRADITIONAL AND ONLINE BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS IN ORDER TO UPGRADE THEIR KNOWLEDGE. |
