Objectives
TO REACH TO AN ANALYSIS OF CONTEMPORARY HISTORY AND POLITICS IT IS NECESSARY TO GO UP TO THEIR PRECONDITIONS, STARTING WITH THE FORMATION OF THE DYNAMICS BETWEEN MODERN STATES, BORN AT THE END OF FIRST WORLD WAR. SINCE THE BIRTH OF THE ACTUAL INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL SYSTEM, THE COURSE AIMS TO UNDERLINE ITS FOUNDAMENTAL PROBLEMS, STRUCTURES, EVENTS AND DYNAMICS.
A PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS TURNED TO THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE STATES AND THE INTERNAL POLICY'S AND ECONOMY'S HISTORY, DUE TO THE EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FRAMEWORK.
THROUGH AN ANALYSIS OF THE MOST RECENT WOLRD DYNAMICS, IN ITS GENERAL PART THE COURSE STARTS WITH THE END OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR, CONSIDERING THE DIALECTIC BETWEEN THE NEW WOLD ORDER, LEGITIMATED BY UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION, AND THE RECENT TRENDS TO THE DISORDER OF NOW-A-DAY INTERNATIONAL CONTEST.
THE SPECIAL PART UNDERLINES THE ACTUAL THEME OF THE 'ENEMIES OF THE WEST', AND FOCUSES ON THE INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM, ON THE DEBATE ON THE ANGER AGAINST THE WEST AND ON THE POSSIBLE RELATIONS BETWEEN ISLAM AND DEMOCRACY.
Prerequisites
IT IS REQUIRED A GOOD ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF GENERAL HISTORY AND THE ABILITY TO THE ORIENTATION AND CRITICISM ON THE MOST RELEVANT THEMES OF THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD ORDER.
Contents
THE COURSE INTENDS TO OFFER AN INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY OF ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY HISTORY SINCE 1918 TO THE 2000S, WITH A PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE COLD WAR PERIOD AND TO THE ITALIAN FRAMEWORK SINCE THE END OF SECOND WOLDR WAR TO THE FIRST YEARS OF THE NEW MILLEMIUM.
FURTHERMORE IT IS FOCUSED ON THE THEME OF INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM, EXPLODED IN WESTERN EUROPE WITH THE ATTACKS IN PARIS ON NOVEMBER 2015 AND IN BRUSSELS ON MARCH 2016, WHICH SWICHED ON AGAIN THE ANCIENT QUESTION ON THE NATURE OF THE ANGER AGAINST THE WEST AND ON THE POSSIBLE RELATION BETWEEN ISLAM AND DEMOCRACY.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INTENDS TO CONSIDER THE DIDACTICAL METODOLIGIES AND THE LEARNING'S TECHNIQUES, BOTH THE TRADITIONAL AND "ACTIVE" ONES, IN PARTICULAR RECURRING TO THE STRUCTURED TESTS AND TO THE DEFINITION OF THE ITEMS ACCORDING WITH THE CLASS, BROADLY USING THE DIDACTIC TECHNOLOGIES (MEDIA, INTERNET, ECT.) IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING.
