THE COURSE WANTS TO DEVELOP THE KNOWLEDGE OF POLITICAL DYNAMICS IN THE MAIN EMPIRES OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY AGE, WITH A FOCUS ON THE ROMAN MODEL. ALL CULTURAL AND POLITICAL ASPECTS RELATED TO THE RECOGNITION OF IMPERIAL LOGICS WILL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, ALSO ANALYZING THE AMERICAN AND CHINESE MODELS. THE COURSE WILL BE ABLE TO BE ALSO IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND WANTS TO DEVELOP THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HISTORICAL FACTS AND PROBLEMS OF EMPIRES IN A DIACHRONIC LOGIC, AND TO INVOLVE THEIR CRITICAL ANALYSIS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS MAY BE ABLE TO EXERCISE THE CRITICAL SPIRIT FOR AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE COMPLEXITY OF EMPIRES AND GLOBAL AND SYSTEMIC VISION. |

THE COURSE WANTS TO ANALYZE AND COMPARE EMPIRE MODELS, FROM ROMAN TO SPANISH, ENGLISH, FRENCH, UP TO THE STRONG CRITICISM OF THE COLONIAL CONCEPTION DURING THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY, WITH THE CALCULATION OF COSTS AND BENEFITS IN THE RELATIONS BETWEEN COLONIES AND MOTHERLAND, AND THE BATTLES FOR HUMAN RIGHTS. A FOCUS WILL ALSO BE DEDICATED TO THE AMERICAN MODEL. THE SECOND PART OF THE COURSE WILL ANALYZE THE EVOLUTION OF THE IMPERIAL CHINESE FROM ITS BEGINNING UNTIL THE ACTUAL TIME. IN PARTICULAR, AFTER AN EXCURSUS OF ITS PROGRESSIVE ENFORCEMENT IN THE ANCIENT AND MODERN ERA, THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON THE IMPERIAL DIMENSION OF CONTEMPORARY CHINA AND ITS STRENGTHENING IN THE POLITICAL AND HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE OF THE PEOPLE'S OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA AS THE NEW EMPIRE OF GLOBAL ERA. |
