Objectives
THE TEACHING IS AIMED TO AN ELKEMENTARY STAGE COMMUNICATION SKILL CONCERNING FAMILIAR AND PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT, THROUGH COMPARATIVE FRENCH-ITALIAN CONSIDERATIONS, TO REACH STUDENTS TO DEVELOP THE FOUR COMPETENCES (WRITTEN AND ORAL COMPREHENSION AND PRODUCTION) AT A2/B1 LEVEL OF THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK. AN ABILITY IS EXPECTED TO APPLY THE STUDIED RULES, TO UNDERSTAND AND COMMUNICATE, TO READ, TRANSLATE AND ANALYSE THE TEXTS OF THE PROGRAM, FOCUSING ON GRAMMAR RULES TO APPLY INDIPENDENTLY IN A FREE OR DONE EXERCISE THANKS TO AN ELEMENTARY VOCABULARY.
Prerequisites
IT IS USEFUL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL TO KNOW THE MAIN PRINCIPLES OF FRENCH LANGUAGE AND FRANCOPHONE CULTURE.

THE APPROACH TO THE LINGUISTIC STRUCTURES IS MADE THROUGH READING AND TRASLATION, AS WELL AS GRAMMAR ANALYSIS, OF TEXTS CHOOSEN TO REACH THE OBJECTIVES AS WELL AS SPECIFIC ASPECTS OF FRENCH CULTURE.
THE TEACHING IS AIMED TO DEVELOP:
THE ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND COMPRHENSION :
TO UNDERSTAND AND CLEARLY COMMUNICATE;
TO READ CORRECTLY AND TRANSLATE TEXTS OF THE PROGRAM;
TO FOCUS ON GRAMMAR STRUCTURES APPLYING THEM INDIPENDENTLY IN A FREE OR DONE EXERCISE

A SELF-JUGEMENT ABILITY:
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION ABOUT SIMPLE CONVERSATION CONCERNING DAILY ROUTINE SUBJECTS (SPORT, POLITICS, ECONOMICS, HISTORY)
COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS:
TO UNDERSTAND DAILY EXPRESSIONS AND SIMPLE STATEMENTS TO SATISFY CONCRETE NEEDS;
TO INTRODUCE ONESELF AND THE OTHERS ASKING AND ANSWERING ABOUT PERSONAL DETAILS;
TO DESCRIBE PICTURES OR DRAWINGS;
TO INTERACT IN A SIMPLE WAY WHERE THE SPEAKER SHOWS COLLABORATION;
TO EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION ABOUT COMMUN END FAMILIAR TOPICS;
TO DESCRIBE DAILY LIFE ROUTINE AND ASPECTS IN A SIMPLE WAY.

LEARNING ABILITY:
TO RECOGNISE AND SHOW THE CORRECT LEARNING IN A EUROPEAN LANGUAGE AT A WORLDWIDE DIFFUSION TO AFFIRM ONE'S OWN IDEAS.

A PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE WILL HAVE A CORRECT PRONUNCIATION, INTONATION, GRAMMAR AND FLUENCY OF THE LANGUAGE PRODUCTION.
THE TYPOGRAPHIC RULES OF TRENCH PONCTUATION AND THE USE OF SPECIAL LETTERS (Â, Ê, Î, Ô, Û, ETC.) ARE PART OF THE PROGRAM.
Teaching Methods
ANNUAL (SEPTEMBER – MAY): MONOGRAPHIC TEACHING. 40 HOURS LECTURES, NOT FACULTATIVE, 4 HOURS A WEEK IN 20 LESSONS, AIMED TO THE READING OF TEXTS.
TUTORIALS ARE ANNUAL IN 4 HOURS A WEEK, FROM SEPTEMBER TO MAY, TWICE A WEEK.
SPECIALIZED SEMINARS AIMED AT ENHANCING STUDENTS’ SOCIO-CULTURAL AND COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCES.
SOME INTERMEDIATE TESTS DURING THE COURSE CAN BE DONE WHOSE EVALUATION CAN PARTIALLY REPLACE THE WRITTEN EXAM OR SOME ISSUES OF THE PROGRAM IN ORAL EXAM (IT IS REQUESTED A 70% PARTICIPATION TO THE MONOGRAPHIC TEACHING AND 60% TO THE TUTORIALS).
PAY ATTENTION: THE ATTENDANCE IS MADE OF AN ACTIVE AND REGULAR PARTICIPATION, IN CLASS AND WITH AN APPROPRIATE HOMEWORK. OTHERWISE IT DOES NOT LEAD TO THE STATUS OF ATTENDING.
Verification of learning
A WRITTEN TEST OF 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES ON INFORMATICS SUPPORTS CONCERNING GRAMMAR EXERCISES WITH MULTIPLE CHOISE, PREPRATORY FOR NO.ATTENDED STUDENTS HAVE TO DELIVER THE EXCERCICE BOOK 5 WEEKS BEFORE THE ORAL EXAM.
AN ORAL EXAM TAKING 15-20 MINUTES. IT CONCERNS AN ADVANCED AND FLUENT CONVERSATION IN FRENCH LANGUAGE. IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET BOTH PARTS IN THE SAME DAY OR SESSION, OR SIMPLY TO KEEP THE PASSED WRITTEN TEST FOR THE NEXT SESSION TO COMPLETE WITH ORAL PART.
