Objectives
THE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO ILLUSTRATE IN A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE, THE CONCEPTS AND FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY OF ART.
THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THE COURSE IS TO OFFER ELEMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE HUGE ITALIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE SOUTHERN GEOGRAPHICAL CONTEXT.
THE FINAL OBJECTIVE IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CRITICAL SENSE IN THE USE AND BROADCAST, AT VARIOUS LEVELS, OF CULTURAL RESOURCES FOR THE PROMOTION OF ECONOMIC AND ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES.
(MODULE OF HISTORY OF ART) THROUGH THE ACQUISITION OF SPECIFIC SKILLS, THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO OFFER A CORRECT INTERPRETATION OF THE WORKS OF ART BY PROPOSING AN ADEQUATE GEOGRAPHICAL AND HISTORICAL CONTEXT AND TO IDENTIFY THE SPECIFIC LANGUAGE OF THE MAIN PROTAGONISTS OF THE FIGURATIVE CONTEXT OF REFERENCE. ON THIS BASIS, THE COURSE AIMS TO HIGHLIGHT THE NECESSARY INTERPLAY BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE OF ART HISTORY AND CONSERVATION, EVEN FOR THE MOST SUITABLE ENHANCEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE.

(HISTORY OF MODERN ART MODULE): THE TERRITORY AND THE ARTS.
PRESENTING THE ARTISTIC PRODUCTION OF CAMPANIA IN THE MODERN AGE AND UNDERLINING ITS COMPLEX CULTURAL STRATIFICATION, AS AN EXAMPLE OF THE 'CONNECTIVE TISSUE' THAT INEXTRICABLY JOINS CULTURAL HERITAGE AND TERRITORY, FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE DEFINITION OF ADEQUATE ENHANCEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO MODULES, DEDICATED TO ARCHAEOLOGY AND MODERN ART HISTORY, FOR 60 HOURS IN TOTAL. POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS AND VISITS TO ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AND MUSEUMS ARE EXPECTED DURING THE COURSE.
Verification of learning
DURING THE LESSONS AND DURING THE FINAL EXAM THE STUDENTS' ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE CLEARLY THE METHODOLOGICAL AND CONTENT KNOWLEDGE LEARNED WILL BE ASSESSED.
