Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE METHODOLOGIES AND THE THEORETICAL-CONCEPTUAL APPARATUS NECESSARY FOR ONE
SPATIAL INTERPRETATION OF SOCIAL PHENOMENA AND TERRITORIAL DYNAMICS, FOCUSING ATTENTION ON SOME ISSUES OF GEOGRAPHY
CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL LIFE, SUCH AS THE SPATIAL IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION, THE SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF URBAN SPACE, THE EFFECTS OF MIGRATORY AND SOCIAL DYNAMICS REFERRING TO THE RELATIVE IMPLICATIONS IN EDUCATIONAL WORK.
EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: KNOWING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF GEOGRAPHIC SCIENCES AND LEARNING THE METHODOLOGIES FOR RESEARCH AIMED AT SPECIFIC TERRITORIES AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTS, IN A DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION WITH RESPECT TO THE TYPE OF SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL PROBLEMS THAT CAN RISE UP THERE.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO BE ABLE TO USE THE GEOGRAPHICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN THE
CONTEXT OF THE PLANNING OF INTERVENTIONS, IN PARTICULAR OF INTERVENTIONS TO SUPPORT INTEGRATION AND INCLUSION PROCESSES AND TO FIGHT AGAINST SOCIAL BREAKDOWN.
Prerequisites
STUDENTS MUST KNOW THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF HUMAN GEOGRAPHY (ENVIRONMENT, POPULATION, TERRITORY, LANDSCAPE), REGIONAL AND URBAN GEOGRAPHY.

Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN ORAL TEST WITH A THIRTY-YEAR EVALUATION.
THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW WITH QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION ON THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENT IN THE TEACHING PROGRAM AND IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT, AS WELL AS TO TEST THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO INDEPENDENTLY ORGANIZE THE EXPOSURE ON THE SAME SUBJECTS WITH THEORETICAL CONTENT.
