THE COURSE AIMS AT PROVIDING A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE GREEK LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (WITH SPECIAL REGARD TO THE ARCHAIC AND CLASSICAL AGE) AND TO OFFER THE BASIC TOOLS FOR ANALYZING AND UNDERSTANDING GREEK LITERARY TEXTS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL HAVE: -A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF GREEK LANGUAGE (PHONETICS, MORPHOLOGY, SYNTAX, VOCABULARY) -A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY OF GREEK LITERATURE IN ARCHAIC AND CLASSICAL AGE AND OF THE FORMS OF LITERARY COMMUNICATION IN ANCIENT GREECE -- A KNOWLEDGE OF THE ANALYSIS METHODS OF GREEK LITERARY TEXTS APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: -UNDERSTAND AND ANALYZE GREEK LITERARY TEXTS -COPE WITH THE INTERPRETATIVE AND HISTORICAL-CRITICAL PROBLEMS OF THE GREEK LITERARY TEXTS. -SET UP A BIBLIOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH AND CRITICALLY REFLECT ON ASPECTS AND THEMES OF THE GREEK LITERATURE MAKING JUDGEMENTS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: -ORIENTATE ONESELF IN THE CRITICAL DEBATE ON THE GREEK LITERATURE -HAVE A CRITICAL APPROACH TO THE GREEK LITERARY TEXTS COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: -EXPLAIN A GREEK TEXT IN A CORRECT, CLEAR AND UNDERSTANDABLE WAY, ALSO IN RELATION WITH DIFFERENT AUDIENCE TYPES -COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS OF THE ANALYSIS AND OF THE INTERPRETATION OF GREEK LITERARY TEXTS - RELATE THEMSELVES WITHIN A WORK GROUP ABOUT HUMANISTIC DISCIPLINES LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: -CONTINUE IN AN INDEPENDENT STUDY OF THE SUBJECT |

THE FRONTAL LESSONS ARE CONDUCTED WITH SEMINAR AND PARTICIPATED METHOD WITH THE INSIGHTS AND CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS ON THE MAJOR PROBLEMS OF INTERPRETATION. - EXERCISES OF TRANSLATION AND EXEGESIS IN THE CLASSROOM. - LESSONS AND SEMINARS OF EXTERNAL TEACHERS. |

ORAL EXAMINATION, WHICH WILL TEST: 1) THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF GREEK LITERATURE 2) THE CAPACITY OF TRANSLATION AND ANALYSIS OF ONE OR MORE TEXT GREEKS 3) THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE AND ANALYZE THE MAIN FORMS OF THE GREEK LANGUAGE. DURING THE COURSE IT IS POSSIBLE TO TAKE A TEST AIMED AT VERIFYING THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND A GREEK TEXT AND THE BASIC GRAMMATICAL AND LEXICAL KNOWLEDGE . EVALUATION WILL BE UNSATISFACTORY IF THE STUDENT DOES NOT DEMONSTRATE TO BE SUFFICIENTLY COMPETENT WITH THE THREE ABOVE MENTIONED ASPECTS. IN THE EVENT OF SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE, MARKS WILL RANGE FROM 18 TO 30 CUM LAUDE, DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE TOPICS AND THE PERSONAL IN-DEPTH STUDY; 30 CUM LAUDE INDICATES VERY GOOD SKILLS AND OWN PERSONAL INTERESTS. |
